Actually, Dad was doing a pretty good job there. He ran after the toddler (they can be damned fast and tricksie) grabbed him up before he could get run over by an adult. Then fended of an incoming ball that was about to hit his kid. He dropped him on the grass. At least it wasn't concrete or it wasn't horseshoes. Those REALLY hurt. No one is perfect.
Picked him back up and comforted the kid without making a huge fuss....(or creating a trigger event)
There's always a gap - *a gasp* - a moment of silence - a moment of calm - a moment of reflection - It's almost a sigh of relief -- (perhaps everything is ok?) between the thunder and the lightening -- -- after a kid gets hurt. Then that giant scream bursts forth.

Parent isn't a verb, it's a noun.
Maybe that's the first lesson.
Didn't make the catch, either. Focus, dude, focus!
The kid didn't land on any important, unpadded parts.
Kids are pretty well padded.

I had to watch that again. Dint notice anything unusual the first time around.
NTW. 5-second rule.
[parenting] 93,200,00 in 0.20 seconds, maybe that is your first lesson, and maybe you're difficult of learning a new phrase.
That's why I quit taking children sky diving.
Eh, the dude dropping the tyke is the only thing in that video that I understood.
