On Deplorability & The Queen of Projection

Flying Ashtrays & Lamps, Batman!  What's missing from this picture?  Smoke coming out of her ears? Firebolts shooting out from her eyes and other orifices?   Flames on her pants?  Nooses and smoking guns  drawn around the border to trim up and keep things tidy?  As it is, the simply drawn but clearly crazy eyes the artist chose to use as the focal point are enough to invite and call all else to mind.

On Suitcases & Charitable Donations

To be clear, it's not just the American Queens currently situated in the Senate, the Media and the White House who've been toting around and delivering bags of foolishness.

On Pulling Up the Ladder & Petty Stink

Elsewhere it was noted today that Kamala Harris’s name hasn’t shown up in the Washington Post in 20 days.  Her name did, however, show up recently in the Washington Free Beacon, in an article published yesterday entitled, “Analysis: Kamala Harris Is a ‘Petty Ass Bitch’ - Kamala Harris pulls the ladder up on Karen Bass”.  Another small window opened to reveal more ugly stink.   Not the same scent as the one that rolls out the door of a tractor trailer full of dead human bodies - there as the result of policies you refuse to adhere to or address; but similarly odious nonetheless.

On Bahamamamas & The View

This one’s fun.  The View sent their five female hosts to stay at the Baha Mar luxury resort in the Bahamas as part of the show’s 25th anniversary celebration.  On a set situated on the beach there, they filmed a show where the five ladies held forth on their views regarding the recent SC ruling.  What a trip!

Stacey Lennox, in her post today at PJMedia, entitled “After the Hot Takes on Dobbs, Who Wants to Tell the Ridiculous Ladies of ‘The View’ About the Bahamas?”, wonders if  "someone should tell the ladies they are sitting on a beach in a country that forces women to have babies?”  According to her, “The U.S. State Department says that in the Bahamas, 90% of residents report a religious affiliation, and 70% are Protestant. According to the Bahamian penal code today, anyone involved in an abortion can be sentenced to 10 years in prison. That includes the women. Some state laws in the U.S. seek to hold the abortion provider accountable.

Maybe the staff at The View should check abortion access before booking their next trip. Why would they want to give all that money to a country that doesn’t share their values? Most Caribbean countries have similar laws. Even Europe is far more restrictive than deep-blue states like California and New York. Perhaps the ladies of “The View” would be more comfortable in China or North Korea, which have abortion policies as expansive as those Roe and Casey forced nationwide, for their next big shindig."

On Raised Eyebrows: The Elbow & The Gelid Smile

This one caught my eye, through a link to a June 26 post at American Thinker, entitled “Nancy Pelosi disdainfully elbows Rep. Mayra Flores’s pinafore-clad Mexican-American daughter”, by Monica Showalter, with the video of that small but telling moment  here:  https://twitter.com/i/status/1540799498342936578

While the word gelid was new to me, the elbowing gesture signaling crowding, contempt, grandiosity, entitlement and disdain was not.  “By their fruits you shall know them.”   What do your eyes see?

On Closed I's, Dreams & Visions

from: https://www.reddit.com/r/LouderWithCrowder/comments/vjwa6b/might_need_this_today/

With an additional h/t to this blog's founder, and all who've appreciated or resisted the levity, insights, slights and foolishness posted here over the years.

The shot heard round the world.

Here we are, status quo ante bellum. Roe has been overturned. Summertime and the Lefties are rioting.

The Court couldn't find a rationale for a right to abortion (duh). If you look at how they arrived at the rationale, you see they could find no explicit  basis in the Constitution, nor one based on the history and traditions of this country. What's more important, the 3 Lefties in their dissent could make no rebuttal. So it's pretty clear a lot of new "rights" are in trouble.

Top of the list - Lawrence (sodomy) and Obergefell (homosexual marriage). I think the next few years are going to undo a lot of Leftist nonsense.

That alone moves the Overton Window back a few notches, but wait, there's more.

Clarence Thomas has stated in his concurring opinion a lot of cases should be reviewed in light of this decision including, here it comes, Lawrence and Obergefell.

This is because Lefties, finding no explicit justification for advancing their agenda within the Constitution, fell back on cherry-picking clauses which could be twisted to allow their nonsense. Chief among them was the equal protection clause in the 14th Amendment.

Clarence Thomas thus makes the case this has the power to nullify a lot of old decisions. Further, he seems to invite a case to decide "whether our entire Fourteenth Amendment jurisprudence must be preserved or revised".

A lot of bad Leftist decisions are based on an elastic reading of the 14th Amendment. This could be the beginning of the end on most of them.

It's often been said Donald Trump did a lot to move back the Overton Window. It would appear he isn't done yet.

It's all about the guns.....

Two big events regarding the Second Amendment have transpired the last few days.

First off, the Republican traitors in the Senate have bent over and took it up the ass from the Democratic gun grabbers. These quislings are using the same lies they used for gay marriage. "It's not that big a deal. It is a reasonable compromise. It will not have any other effect or change."

It is all lies. You give an inch, and they take a mile. Red Flag laws will be used to seize guns from anyone who does not toe the liberal line. You are seeing the effect with the torture and crimes being committed against the Jan 6 patriots who were only exercising their first amendment rights. The constitution means nothing to these scum bags.

Why is the Second Amendment the only one that can be abrogated without a constitutional amendment. Why can't we just legislate a return to slavery? I mean most of the Mexicans that the elite Karens abuse are basically slaves. Their nannies and gardeners are the direct equivalents of Aunt Jemina and Uncle Ben. Why not stop women from voting on certain issues? A judge can decide without due process.  I don't know maybe just when they are on the rag. You know a red rag law. They don't have good judgement when their hormones are in control. That is a reasonable compromise, right?

Or is that ridiculous bullshit like this new gun compromise?

They only solace we have is the bare minimum of votes we have on the Court thanks to the God Emperor of the Cherry Blossom Throne. Their decision to invalidate the onerous gun laws of New York state and other jurisdictions that require licenses to own or carry guns is the only bright spot in the increasing move toward disarming normal Americans. I am sure that New York State will ignore it and there are many more fights to come but at least we have a decision on the books that we can use in the future.

It is all not going to end well.

We need to take the lessons of Lucas McCain to heart and just start dealing with the people who are stealing our rights out from under us. It's the only solution.

We need to get ready for the upcoming Depression

Whose that author?

“Wait a minute,” Raymond said. “No, I think the way we ought to do it—pick up the gun and hold it at your side. Go ahead. I think that’ll be better.” Raymond brought the Colt toward him and held it pointing down, the barrel extending below the edge of the desk. “Yeah, that’s better. See, then when you bring it up you have to clear the desk and there’s less chance of getting shot in the balls.” “Come on,” Clement said, “cut the shit.” “All right, then you reach for yours and I raise mine,” Raymond said, “it’s up to you.” He waited. Clement’s right hand edged over to the Walther, touched it, hesitated, then covered the grip and brought it toward him, off the table. He said, “I don’t believe this.” “Okay, you ready?” Raymond said. “Any time you want, do it.” “Wait just a minute,” Clement said.

To infinity and beyond?

Did you hear about all of the controversy regarding the new Buzz Lightyear movie?

It is telling the origin story of the character from Toy Story which was one of the most popular series of all time. They have replaced Tim Allen the conservative actor with Chris Evans who played Captain America and who is one of the most woke liberal actors in America. Patricia Heaton who played the wife on Everybody Loves Raymond started a campaign to boycott the film and fuck with Disney. I think it is a little misplaced.

You should boycott Disney and Chris Evans no matter what. Disney is a hotbed of groomers and have forfeited the regard of the family market. Evans is an idiot who you should boycott as a matter of course.

They have a reasonable explanation. The movie is about the original Buzz not the toy based on his life that was played by Tim Allen so there was no requirement that Allen play the part. I have to agree with that reasoning. I just don't watch Disney products anymore, so the point is moot.

Don't give Disney your money. Which they are losing on this movie as fourteen Muslim countries are banning it because of a same sex kiss.

Disney is no longer for families be they Christian, Muslim or Hebrew. Drop them from your screen and leave them to rot.

I know I have, and I feel much better for it.

Naval officers were fired because they wouldn't go down on the shipmates.....what?

Four commanding officers were cashiered from their posts by the Navy yesterday. This very unusual move was reported in the New York Post in which the officers and their commands were listed. A commander getting fired here or there is not all that unusual but four in one shot is not the norm. They were fired for "lack of confidence." A strange phrase. They crash their ship into another like that female captain did a couple of years ago. They didn't run their ship aground like that guinea cruise ship guy did in the Med. They just didn't have the confidence of their betters.

The speculation is that they didn't buy into the new trans agenda of the liberal admirals who think being a social justice warrior is more important than being a warrior. The not-so-secret gay agenda is dominating the policy of the military and those who don't go along are being separated from the service. Christians and other devout military men are being driven out of the armed forces so they can implement the social engineering demanded by the ultra-liberal members of the democratic party. The covid rules are also part of the mix as many were separated instead of getting the vaccine.

The military is in sad shape.

And just like that!

Adams says "What me worry?"

(New York Post June 13, 2022)

Mayor Eric Adams insisted Monday he’s not worried about police officers leaving the NYPD in droves this year — declaring that being a Big Apple cop is an “amazing career,” and that the departures present a chance to “diversify” the force.

Hizzoner’s comments come after The Post exclusively reported Saturday that over 1,500 officers have either resigned or retired in 2022 – a rate that represents the largest exodus of officers since the statistics have been available.

About 520 cops have resigned, and more than 1,000 have retired as of May 31, according to NYPD pension data previously obtained by The Post. The 1,596 total departures from the police department represents a 38% spike compared to the same period in 2021, when 1,159 cops called it a career, and a 46% increase from 2020, when 1,092 left the force by the same point.

Asked Monday morning by “Good Day New York” host Rosanna Scotto if those figures “concern” him, Adams replied, “No, it does not.”

“[The] New York City Police Department is an amazing career. I know it first-hand, and we are going to find young men and women who are going to want to be a member of the New York City Finest,” the retired NYPD captain and former transit cop continued on Fox 5.

(Adams was the head of the original Black officer's union back in the day. The brass hated him with a passion as he was always demanding affirmative action promotions. Now he is going to fill the department with people who can't pass the written or physical test. So, you are going to have 90-pound chinese broads becoming cops. A couple of years ago a tiny Korean cop was walking down the stair well of a housing project. He was so scared he had his gun out and his finger on the trigger. When a mook opened the door, he shot him. He went to jail. Cops should be six-foot-tall Irish kids from Long Island. Or maybe some blacks or Spanish who can keep the peace in their neighborhood. Not the riff raff that they are going to hire. They will bring in the dregs of society to fill their quotas. Some drug addicts. Some trans-sexual. Perverts. Every piece of shit under the sun will be represented to honor diversity.

Good luck with that pal. What could go wrong?)

It's something you can't refuse

There is a new series about the making of one of the greatest films of all time. The Offer details the making of the Godfather. It is really good.

It is basically the story of Al Ruddy who was the producer. Since it was taken from his book it portrays him as the all-powerful hero like Superman. He never quits and always figures out the right thing to get the movie made. It is very one sided but still enjoyable.

They really show what a Hollywood sleaze ball Robert Evans was and what a Wall Street pyscho Charles Bludhorn who ran Gulf and Western was in real life. The corporate politics are the crux of the movie, but the most enjoyable part is watching actors portray the original cast. The guy who plays Al Pacino is particularly good.

I especially enjoyed the portrayal of Joe Colombo who is never depicted in Mafia movies in any real way. They caught the awkward essence of Colombo and the raging psychosis of Crazy Joe Gallo but really missed the boat on the oily snake that was Carlo Gambino. It almost through me out of the show but the other characterizations redeemed the effort.

I heartily recommend it to fans of the genre or if you just want a show to watch.

Take the show and leave the cannoli.

On Risking Everything & Taking to the Cliffs

"You were young the day you took these cliffs; some of you were hardly more than boys, with the deepest joys of life before you. Yet you risked everything here. Why? Why did you do it? What impelled you to put aside the instinct for self-preservation and risk your lives to take these cliffs? What inspired all the men of the armies that met here? We look at you, and somehow we know the answer. It was faith and belief. It was loyalty and love.

The men of Normandy had faith that what they were doing was right, faith that they fought for all humanity, faith that a just God would grant them mercy on this beachhead, or on the next. It was the deep knowledge -- and pray God we have not lost it -- that there is a profound moral difference between the use of force for liberation and the use of force for conquest. You were here to liberate, not to conquer, and so you and those others did not doubt your cause. And you were right not to doubt.

You all knew that some things are worth dying for. One's country is worth dying for, and democracy is worth dying for, because it's the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man. All of you loved liberty. All of you were willing to fight tyranny, and you knew the people of your countries were behind you."

From remarks delivered by President Ronald Reagan on June 6, 1984 commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Invasion of Normandy, with a H/T to Real Clear Politics for posting the entire speech today

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2019/06/06/the_boys_of_pointe_du_hoc_140500.html

Two lines from Stephen Spender's poem,  I Think Continually, were quoted in the speech, with both from this verse of the poem:

Near the snow, near the sun, in the highest fields
See how these names are feted by the waving grass
And by the streamers of white cloud
And whispers of wind in the listening sky.
The names of those who in their lives fought for life
Who wore at their hearts the fire's centre.
Born of the sun they travelled a short while towards the sun,
And left the vivid air signed with their honour.
