What would you say is a National Scandal?

I'm not so much into scandal.

Democrats, particularly Obama, get a pass from the major media outlets.

That's not going to change in my lifetime. So, I don't obsess over it.

The real scandal is that American voters elected this Obama fool.

We're getting exactly what we deserve.

It's a scandal that Patty Smyth married John McEnroe.

Unfortunately, the MSM, aka America's Pravda, are the deciders.

Did Smyth change the spelling of her name from the usual "Smith" in order to be even more annoyingly pretentious?

We know the answer based on what the media and Hollywood selected.

I remember when Obama and the press ripped Bush over the treatment that the vets were receiving at Walter Reed hospital. Remember that? The press hounded Bush without stop. Plus, provided an opportunity for Obama to say how he was going to fix the problem.

Now, not so much.

The next national scandal will not happen until January 20th, 2017, at the earliest.

It's a scandal that the Demos stole the '12 election by vote fraud.

Wrong Patti Smith.

He's referring to the one from the band "Scandal."

You know, The Warrior.

OT, but THIS left me gobsmacked.

On the one hand, I'm like, hooray for good old Yankee ingenuity.

On the other, I'm like, jeez, I hope this is just something cooked up by PsyOps like leaving extra large condoms around where the enemy is sure to find them.

I just assumed that Patty Smyth was from a poor family and they couldn't afford to purchase an "e" to stick on the end.

I took a survey course in cultural anthropology and the professor had done field work in Central America.

She fucking hated it, apparently.

She said that everybody she tried to get information from immediately assumed she was CIA.

She also more or less implied that they were right to do so.

Yep. And the Washington Post got a Pulitzer for covering that, with Dana Priest as the lead journalist. Just checked the Wash. Post website and can't find that she's done anything on this secret waiting list.

These people have no shame.

This is pretty stupid. CNN broke the story. Although trying their best to go broke CNN still counts as MSM. It has been a front page story on both the Times and the WSJ.

Unknown said...

Is Matt Lauer talking about it? What about the alphabet channels?
ABC, CBS, NBC - the official prime-time pro-democrat media.

When the IRS is sicced on the regime's enemies the US of A has been reduced to banana republic status: that's the real scandal.

Unknown said...

I do heap tons of credit on CNN for breaking the story. That is a story in and of itself.

When you nominate someone based on the amount of pigment in their skin rather than competence for the job of governing, this is what happens.

AllenS said...

Tell me, ARM, is CNN ripping Obama like Bush was ridiculed and blamed for the malfeasance at Walter Reed?

Shouting Thomas said...

The IRS scandal is the only one that features true malfeasance, in my opinion.

If I were into impeaching Obama, which I am not, that one is the truly criminal operation.

Obama is not going to be impeached. His presidency is and has been all about racial symbolism. He's the quota hire.

It says something about American idealism that we elected an inexperienced incompetent president for symbolic reasons. The ethno-masochists like ARM are inexplicable for any other reason.

A Republican will be elected president again, despite the blather from the ethno-masochists. I hope Republicans use the IRS to punish their enemies as ruthlessly as Democrats have done.

Do you have a cite?

the media cannot report honestly on the Benghazi story because they were part of the false narrative that it was all due to a video.

As far as IRS targeting, again -the media hate the tea party, so there is no story. Some people get to participate in the political process, some people don't. It's just like with Harry Reid- some billionaires are OK, some are not.

There was a New Yorker cartoon from the 60s or early 70s where a rough and tough bartender had just tossed a hippy out the front door.

The hippy's lying there on the sidewalk and he calls out to the barkeep who's standing in the doorway: "In all fairness, sir, I demand that you eject an extreme right-winger as well."

Wolf Blitzer was carrying water for Obama. Yesterday, Blitzer asked the superb reporter who broke this story, "Aren't we losing sight of the positive things Obama has done. The reporter looked incredulous and replied, "People are dying. The VA is lying about double sets of books. I have spoken w/ 10 employees of the VA Hospital[Phoenix]. They wrote to Shinseki TWO WEEKS AGO asking for assurances that if they came forward they would not be punished. THEY RECEIVED NO REPLY." Wolf then quietly thanked the guy for his report. I loved this reporter. But, Wolf Blitzer, who embarrasses himself on Jeopardy, not knowing BASIC shit, is the man @ CNN. They need to boot him and make Jake Tapper the man.

ndspinelli said...

AllenS, Drew Griffin, The CNN guy in Phoenix is the guy who broke this. He BLASTED Obama after his speech saying there is a disconnect between him and the country on this.

Titus said...

That guy' face on that tweet is a scandal. Is that a real dude? Major ugly.

Unknown said...

Wolf Blitzer is useless.

Rabel said...

CNN did not "break" the story. Here's one example of many that predate the CNN report.

What CNN did do is attach a misleading headline which seemed to directly attribute 40 deaths to the wait list scam at the Phoenix location. This raised the profile of a long simmering scandal which had been largely ignored by the MSM.

A little muckraking can serve a useful purpose at times.

Okay, so as usual AnUnreliableObamaLegHumper reports fiction as fact. Must be a day of the week ending in the letter "y."

Ace of Spades had a great piece a few days back about how media negligence allowed this, and many other scandals, to occur by failing to keep the heat on this administration which still feels entirely free to be all "what-that's-outrageous-I-had-no-idea-zzzz" in response to every hideous dereliction of duty that actually makes the news. If heat was applied, even a little, shit would roll down hill and people down the hill would be making an effort to serve the public rather than serving themselves. As it is, the shit is still highly concentrated at the top.

edutcher said...

I thought we were all supposed to be civil.

Unless talking about that one guy.

edutcher said...

If we're talking scandal, consider this little graphic.

Although trying their best to go broke CNN still counts as MSM

Still?

It is to laugh.

PS Lem, you know we all thank you for giving us a home and we appreciate that you do have to pay for it, but could set the commercial at the top off autoplay?

Once again, Obama promised to fix the problem at the VA and he didn't. Now he uses the same excuse as always - "He heard about it on the nightly news! and he's mad as hell!"

Leadership.

Wait, no I don't.

Point exactly to where this is the case.

Phila Inquirer front page was all about the winner of the Dem primary for governor and the gay marriage.

On page 7 or 8, they reported on Obama's reaction to VA scandal. They are lucky that I give them my money only to do the daily crossword and read the sports section.
