It is believed he was executed in the customary North Korean way by firing squad.
In a statement Pyongyang called him a 'traitor to the nation for all ages,' 'worse than a dog' and 'despicable human scum' who planned a military coup.

MSNBC thinks that is so awesome. If only the democrats in America had that kind of power.
Does Hell need a new announcer fluent in Korean?
Well, you used to see this stuff in the Ottoman royalty, so it looks like the Norks are taking another bold step backward.
Only ONE person gets to hoard the cognac in the People's Republic!
I'm sure the Chinese are rolling their eyes at this one, saying, "Man, we thought backing Albania was bad, but backing these clowns in NK? Just how much more embarrassing can they get? Now they're summarily executing family!"
One less commie is always a good thing.
A moral dilemma:
Nuke Pyongyang just because.
or
don't.
I'm torn.
He is in a better place.
What?
Too soon?
The only thing that separates us from the North Koreans is the Constitution. And the only reason we have that Constitution is because our Founders were deeply deeply distrustful of their own nature and did everything in their power to insure against the acquisition of the kind of power that makes it possible to order the death of an "enemy," that dirty dog. Make no mistake, endgame for the Constitution shredders is exactly the North Korean scenario.
Most Constitution shredders are too stupid to see an end-game. They're in it for short-term gain and could not care less about the ultimate, cumulative result of their shredding. It's death by a thousand cuts brought to you by the self-entitled, over-credentialed, would-be elites.
KCNA castigated Jang for "unwillingly standing up from his seat and half-heartedly clapping" when Kim received an important title.
That'll do it every time.

And here I thought it was the Pacific Ocean.
That ocean is being renamed the Chinese Sea.
I call dibs on his hat.
Something the North Koreans can teach our elites is simply that once you reach elite status you are a target of your own kind. If you know too many secrets, you will be dealt with.
Bang bang he shot me down ...
It's about time.
This happens when a dictator gets to appoint the judges.
And all the traitorous uncle said was "Dude, about your haircut...seriously, man..."
Actually, it was the uncle who enabled Kim's quick rise and power consolidation. It is the same old story..."I brung you in & I can take you out" ... er, no, you can't, not any more. Ha Ha Hee Hee Ho Ho.
Uncle Onyango is gettin' nervous.
