Charlie Daniels Tells Piers Morgan To Take A Short Walk
Charlie Daniels is feuding with Piers Morgan on Twitter: link
The Marshall Tucker Band were rednecks. I saw them in their heyday, between heavy metal shows. The band leader, Toy Caldwell, was an interesting guy (I thought). Too bad about how he died.
Charlie Daniels solos joins in about halfway through this song:
I don't watch Piers. There seems to be a British invasion of news casters in America. I love the British accent, but throwing it at us to gain viewership rubs against the grain.
The most interesting part to me is that a single Democratic Party Commissar at GLAAD could make one phone call and quite possibly end Phil Robertson's career. AND that the Democratic Party feels they must destroy everyone that doesn't think TEH GAYS and the abortionists and the like are wonderful in all ways. They're out to ruin the Robertson family now.
And they set out to ruin Paula Dean for having used the word nigger in an intemperate moment DECADES ago. (Meanwhile there isn't a Democrat alive who doesn't think Tarantino isn't the bees knees for using the word nigger all the time.)
Not only that, they set out a while back to try and destroy Chick-fil-A. How many people did they want to put out of work just to punish someone for not falling in line and admitting that ass fucking in public is the only truly good thing in the world besides abortion?
They would rather see millions of people ruined than allow anyone to disagree with their orthodoxy of the moment. Pogo referenced Solzhenitsyn the other day in regards to this story. He couldn't have made a more appropriate comparison.
Funny you should say that, as I was thinking of an old boyfriend from the late 70s who got me into rock, etc. The Marshall Tucker I know from him, which I would classify with the Molly Hatchet and Little Feat I know from him. (I know Little Feat is a little different.) Heart, Skynard, Pink Floyd, CSNY, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Kansas...

... off a long pier.
I've heard that expression before.
Good song.

Im right about what?
You were right about the saying, and I got it backwards. It's supposed to be take a long walk on a short pier.
A British accent is an immediate indicator of an asshole. If you can't speak American, get the fuck back to Londonistan.
I boycott all products pitched by spokespersons who have a British accent. Even whatever that miserable little lizard is selling.
Royalist bitch.
