"Census ‘faked’ 2012 election jobs report"

"In the home stretch of the 2012 presidential campaign, from August to September, the unemployment rate fell sharply — raising eyebrows from Wall Street to Washington."
The decline — from 8.1 percent in August to 7.8 percent in September — might not have been all it seemed. The numbers, according to a reliable source, were manipulated.

And the Census Bureau, which does the unemployment survey, knew it.
Jack Welch, former GE CEO, raised questions, at the time, in a tweet, which, Chris Matthews and Anderson Cooper chose to focus on the tone of the tweet and not so much on the allegation.
Just two years before the presidential election, the Census Bureau had caught an employee fabricating data that went into the unemployment report, which is one of the most closely watched measures of the economy.

And a knowledgeable source says the deception went beyond that one employee — that it escalated at the time President Obama was seeking reelection in 2012 and continues today.

“He’s not the only one,” said the source, who asked to remain anonymous for now but is willing to talk with the Labor Department and Congress if asked.

We keep getting closer and closer to that revelation I'm betting is coming some day.

PS Notice, according to the WaPo, if the election were held today, the Romster would win.

This administration lies about everything. Everything.

Barry's polling at new lows, according to Black Rock.

That's why we're seeing all these revelations.

Remember that.

SBO is still Prez, isn't he?

Remember all those promises to "focus on the economy like a laser?"

That ain't happening. Given Obama's general incompetence, maybe that's a good thing.

Guaranteed dead in the water economy until he's gone.

That's "SOB," not "SBO."

Have no idea what an "SBO" would be.

Small-bowel obstruction, so it still made sense.

If true it means that the unemployment number that everyone knows is already complete bullshit and deceptively low had to be faked even lower. That is a bold admission of failure.

What is strangely stupid about the cheating party is that their propensity to cheat and lie is an admission of failure in real terms, and that they understand that their political success depends on deception about the real things. So if you are one of these people, it means you knowingly support failure, and if given a choice, prefer it.

The smart people.

Right about now people are going to notice. There's only so much the media can spin away.

I don't see why they thought this was necessary knowing the awesomeness of the man's pants crease.

There's no unemployment, they are just transitioning into their new better jobs, augmented by generous government subsidies.

I don't think that this will come as any surprise to anyone here, but they are still lieing.

Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip.

The Big 0 already wishes he had lost the election.

I'm just wondering when they start loading him up with psychotropics so he can double down on his neurosis-driven agenda. If, indeed, he still has one.

The ironic part of all this is that his weirdness all can be laid at the feet of his malcontent, social misfit, white mother.

Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip.

I assumed Somewhat Black Obama.

Politicizing the Census Bureau was a brilliant move by Obama's operatives. What better way to legitimize their narrative than with doctored statistics from one of the few government departments that is still highly trusted by the general public.

They did encounter one problem with their work at the Census Bureau: The Tea Party insurgency in 2010 was deep and broad, and included winning lots of state legislatures. The resulting Republican-favoring gerrymandering of districts in those states give the Rs a fighting chance of holding the House through 2022, or at least not getting too crushed.

Overall demographic trends continue to heavily favor Democrats, even without an immigration 'reform' bill. But remember that Florida is more and more a blue state every day. It's going to be tough for the Rs to win the White House when they're conceding the first, third, and fourth largest states right out of the box.

PPS This don't mean shit, as the election was about 54 weeks ago.

Bago - I was boots-on-the-ground for that Wisconsin legislative election you mentioned. We thought the R would win, but the margin was much larger. Southern Milwaukee County is a swing area - it sometimes goes R, sometimes D. Getting 56% of the vote was a stunner.

Good candidate, decent campaign, but not heavily financed. We think it may be a weathervane for the gubernatorial election in 2014.
