"Did Erdogan STAGE the coup?"

"US-based Turkish cleric facing extradition over botched rebellion claims president orchestrated plot to justify a clampdown on civil rights"
A US-based Turkish cleric accused of plotting a coup to overthrow the Ankara government has claimed President Recep Erdogan staged the rebellion himself to justify a major clampdown on opposition forces.
Fethullah Gulen, who was a former key ally of Erdogan has been blamed by the politician of using his contacts to develop a 'parallel structure' to overthrow the state.
Erdogan has called on US President Barack Obama to extradite Gulen, who is based in Pennsylvania.
Erdogan, left, and Gulen, right, were close allies in the 1990s

For an unsettling thought on a Sunday morning...

Could it happen here?

Yes. Obviously.

But this is serious stuff. Would you like to hear something incredibly stew pud?

Goes like this.

I opened an account with GrubHub through the laptop. with password [something something eat a cannoli something something].

Then a week later downloaded the GrubHub app for the phone. It needs the password but it is rejected. Rejected again. And I'm all f this! Remove the app! Get rid of nonsense. Don't bother with this crap. I KNEW this wouldn't work. What's wrong with that password anyway? I used it like five times on the computer now the phone doesn't recognize it. F this. Go home.

So I check on the laptop, the password is actuall [something something eat a calzone something something]

cannoli, calzone, they're entirely different. C'mon, that's really ste-e-e-e-e-w pud.

Spellcheck is not always your friend.

Vigilance in all things.

Geeze now President Pissy has another idea boinking around in his head. He can try, but....I doubt that it would work here though. The culture of America is much different than that of Turkey or the rest of the middle east.

Never forget, he thinks BlackLives is his SA.

He's also replaced all the real generals and admirals with career wussies who'll do pretty much anything he tells them.

OT (or is it?)

3 cops shot in Baton Rouge.

Haz said early on this coup smelled like a Turk on an airplane. Well, the last part is my metaphor. I have Greek friends w/ family in Greece. They really hate Turks.

They really hate Turks.

It's mutual. I had a Turkish coworker and she blindly hated Greeks.

As for us, Hellenistic values or Mohammedan values? The choice seems clear. Except to the Germans. They love them some Turks.

When there as an attack on the existing government in Egypt Obama backed he rebels. Now there is an attack on the existing government he supports the government. Seems inconsistent?

Not really. In both cases he supports the group fostering radical Islam.

Obama is big part of the problem. In fact one of the major reasons for the success of radical Islam.

Those poor guys. Think of all torture and death going on over there so this nasty little man can cling to power. And back home, here, look at how quickly the Obaaama Dictator Support Team swings into action. King Ketchup, reporting for duty, freshly botoxed and ready and save to deport the enemy of Erdogan so long as there's a paper trail. What disgusting people!

Trooper, there's Saudis and then there's Saudis. And then there's Saudis driving Audis. But I digress. SA is an ally. If there was even the slightest opportunity that we could do better in SA I'd say go for it. But there isn't. This bunch of incestuous oil tics is the best the country has to offer. The situation goes steeply downhill from there. The Bushes courted them as allies, no question. So did Bubba. Israel does, too. You have to work with the least worst option. FemClinton is courting Saudi Arabia in a whole different way.

Nick-or, for that matter, look how we go after each other on the conservative side.

Saudi Arabia is at the root of all of the problems. We went to Iraq to protect Saudi after Saddam went into Kuwait. It was about the oil. Even a die hard Genghis Kahn conservative like me recognizes that. We don't have to worry about oil anymore. Fracking took care of that. We have no reason to be allied with the Saudi's. They financed 911. Even today the government is censoring the facts on those 28 pages. They finance a lot of terrorism as a protection racket. We need to cut them loose. We need to cut the entire Middle East loose. Fuck them. Give Israel all the munitions they need and a free hand and they will protect themselves without our involvement. Our boys don't have to get killed and maimed to protect the kingdoms of these filthy sand monkeys.

That raddled old whore Hillary has sold out to them. Her chief advisor and handler Huma is manipulating her. That is what Huma was bred for by the Muslim Brotherhood. That needs to be brought to the attention of regular Americans. Americans who love their country more than they love money.

SA is the root of many problems. Obviously. Iran is the root of a lot of current and developing problems. SA and Iran hate each other. Sunni v. Shia. SA is much, much more cooperative with us. SA let us use their land to stage for Kuwait and later Iraq. Among other things. SA is an ally. Iran is not.

We could be the most oil-rich nation thanks to fracking. SA finances all the anti-fracking movies and other assorted propaganda that are OUR government's excuse to ban fracking. Like I said, they are the root of many problems. They are an unreliable, ugly, embarrassing ally.

I drove through North Dakota in May. It is a bustling economy w/ oil fracking, akin to the gold rush in Deadwood. I was expecting to see Al Swearingen, Woo and "San Francisco cock sucker" like in South Dakota over a century ago.
