Via Reddit: North Korea said on Wednesday it is "carefully examining" a plan to strike the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam with missiles, just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump told the North that any threat to the United States would be met with "fire and fury".
A spokesman for the Korean People's Army, in a statement carried by the North's state-run KCNA news agency, said the strike plan will be "put into practice in a multi-current and consecutive way any moment" once leader Kim Jong Un makes a decision.
In another statement citing a different military spokesman, North Korea also said it could carry out a pre-emptive operation if the United States showed signs of provocation.
Earlier Pyongyang said it was ready to give Washington a "severe lesson" with its strategic nuclear force in response to any U.S. military action.

They're going to tip it over, right?
My first thought too, Ed. That is the classic example of one of America's great political minds.
That's a bit of good news is this faux game of chicken. Guam is over 1800 Nm away and covers slightly less area than Seoul with far smaller population. An attack on Guam would be clear provocation and act of war, and unlikely to do any harm.
Alas, I think nothing will come of this right now. Fat man, Little Boy, or whatever you want to call the DPRK leader has nothing to gain in war. He wants nuclear weapons to protect his absolute control over his people. We don't care enough about his people to want to free them.
Can't we just float Guam father away and out of range?. Assuming we move people around so the thing is balanced.
I coulda been a contender. When NK launched their next to last ICBM there was speculation and hand wringing about how Hawaii might be within it's range. I double-checked the map and was going to put up a comment about Guam standing in the corner waving it's arms and saying "Hey. Hey. Look at me. Over here. A thousand miles closer."
I didn't put it up. Now I'm just a bum.
Wouldn't want it to tip over while it's being rowed out of range.
Guam.
