He stutters a lot. Sadly, I hate to admit his shtick isn't bad. It's easy to pick on Trump. The audience loved it. Mrs. Bobble head bobbing for power. She's eager for that power. Think of the kind of money the Clinton Foundation can rake in once she's prez. Obama knows he can have a slice. a little off-prompter stuttering ads to the magic.
I don't know if that's the wrong clip? I've seen much worse stuttering by this guy. This was more that condescending Ivy League stammer.
Since I am much more a listener than a talker, I pick up on new speech. Much new speech comes from young people like the fuck shit, "No problem" or "No worries." But, some come from different demographics. A new elitist speech pattern I've noticed the past year and it's getting epidemic is starting many sentences w/ "So.." It may be a replacement for the Ivy League stammer. So, listen for it!!
Hey, wonderful Americans, you had to go and entrust your governance to a chocolate man because and only because he was chocolate. Learned anything?......I thought not.
ricpic, I was forthcoming and have done many mea culpas about my 2008 horrible mistake. But, there is an underachieving, weasel, passive-aggressive, loser, who whenever he gets a couple pops in him, seems compelled to bring it up. I surmise he has a drinking problem as well.
You talkin' 'bout Meade? That's okay. But if you're talking about Troop it's got to stop, the feud.
Here, I'll give it my best shot: the great ricpic declares that the feud between spinneli and Troop is now over, fini, kaput, for the sake of SUFFERING HUMANITY!
Obama was effective in that clip. I think Trump would have laughed at it because he isn't afraid of ridicule. He knows that he can give it back, which will serve him well if he debates Hillary. She doesn't have a sense of humor about herself and I think he can reveal that if given the chance.
Hmmm, I saw the "Trump is God" line. Even what's left of the NeverTrumpers have begun to realize it's like 1775, you're on one side or the other. If I'm in error, my bad.

Poor ed. If you don't give yourself to the One True Donny - drink the koolaid of Trump-love and embrace him with all your heart and soul, you must be a Hillary supporter or a sekrit democrat.
all of which is hilarious considering Trump is an actual Democrat.
No, you are. You certainly want them to win, don't you?
And, yes, at this point, it's one or the other and, as I said above, even the NeverTrumpers are coming down to it.
So vote for Hillary, if only out of spite, and you will deserve what you get.
I know Paul Ryan is persona non grata here. I don't like him anymore. But he was on Fox last night and said he is going to call Comey up to the House to do some 'splainin'. I like that. Comey opened the door w/ his presser. That was Comey splitting the difference, not indicting but providing some helpful info for campaign commercials. But, that was something I've never seen. The FBI invented "no comment." Comey set a precedence w/ speaking on this case. Now, what might happen is Comey may not answer questions saying there is still an open investigation regarding underlings or the Clinton Foundation. Maybe that's why Ryan is calling him up, just to get that out there.
The media ushered in Trump so they can easily take him out. The media loved Trump when he was trashing the GOP. This is why he continues to trash the GOP and obsess over his primary win. It's the only way he will be liked by the media.
I listen to Trump. He is missing obvious opportunities. He isn't going-in for the kill. He dances around it. He spent 10 minutes yesterday talking about how he invented the term "rigged". Trump is obsessed with his primary win over his and your hatred of the GOPe. Why? Sure, between Trump and Hillary I support Trump. I'd support a bag of smelly garbage over Hillary. Wake up, Trump blind-faithers. You've been set up by the media. Killing off Trump will be like shooting fish in a barrel. As planned.
I wonder how Trump really feels about the coming annihilation? It's going to be humiliating.
April, I think you are missing the anger regular people have. They see Trump as the answer to their anger. It's a diverse group of angry people. Some have righteous anger, some are just lazy losers. But, a vote is a vote and I think he can get them. The MSM have their rifles firing @ Trump and have for some time now. Look at this phony Jewish horseshit. They will keep firing, but their bullets haven't pierced his armor. The MSM used to have howitzers. Now they have .22's.
Ed- you're shtick is tired and boring. Will you retire to the group think tree house now?
I don't seem to be boring anybody else. Of course, they don't hate the way you do.
Funny how that's the only Conservative site you know. Somebody tell you it's where all the Trump people hang out? If you ever pulled your head out of the thin air, you'd see I link to a lot of places: Gateway, Surber, all over.

You really need professional help.
The media picked him when they could have had Jeb! or Grahamnesty? Somebody who'd lose like a gentleman?
I keep asking you what these "opportunities" are and you never want to talk about them. Or do they exist only in your befuddled head? As for the kill, he's even got Lefties calling her Crooked Hillary. Did you see the Breitbart piece where he's within a point of Hillary, you who obsesses over the polls? Did you see where the independents are swinging toward him?
Of course not. You don't want to see or hear anything that breaks up your little fantasy world.
And we all know you support Hillary. If only for spite because the One True Ted couldn't even cheat his way to the nomination.

AprilApple, as you know Trump was not my first choice. I have profound concerns about him as CIC and suspect he will (if he wins) leave most of us disappointed.
But if the choice is #CrookedHillary and him, it is really not that hard a decision.
I can understand if you are in a state that is going solidly one way or the other, opting out (with little consequence, other than lowering the mandate). But if you are in a swing state, then the decision should be made. There are really only three choices: A) Trump, B) Crooked Hillary, or C) opt out/write in.
I think what we say here will not have any huge effect on the election. Of course not. It is just a little blog in one corner of the Internet.
What it does reveal is where you are coming from. People almost always turn things around and project their worst qualities on to others. That is what April is doing. She wants to hand it to Hillary. All of her protests about how much she hates Hillary do not ring true. Her proportion of Anti-Trump comments to Anti-Hillary comments is about 50 to 1. It is clear that it is more important to trash Trump than it is to beat Hillary. It is clear by her own words.
My advice to ed is to ignore it from here on in. It is like arguing with Bill Marr or something. It is not worth the wind you are expending. It is time to move on.
Evi - I'm a loyal R-voter. Even this time. This is NOT about me or who I vote for.
The media ushered in Trump so that they can take him out. It's that simple. Again - THE MEDIA USHERED IN TRUMP SO THEY CAN TAKE HIM OUT. This is all for Hillary. I'm not voting for her. I would never vote for her. That's insane. I'm thinking of leaving the country I love if she gets in (yes yes - I know I sound like the left) She is corrupt. She is getting away with it because we fell for bluster and promises of a big wall. We fell for the media's manipulation that the entire GOPe is evil.
We would be ahead of Clinton in the polls had we nominated someone else. You can disagree with me and yell "heresy!", but it's true.
It's not too late to dump Trump, and if we don't, it's over.
AprilApple, there is no chance the GOP will dump Trump. He has the votes to win on the first ballet. They are not going to change the rules and nor should they. Trump is it. Unless you are a delegate going to Cleveland, there is no point putting energy into this. Let it play out and watch what happens.
I do not disagree with your assessment the media wanted Trump (because they thought him more beatable and because his inclusion makes for great ratings). The media are right about the great ratings, but Trump can win this election. He can lose it too. But even when the media goes full bore hostile on him, it is really Trump's to win or lose.
If he loses, then it's Hillary. She will be a disaster as you predict.
We would be ahead of Clinton in the polls had we nominated someone else.
Who? Trump had more support among the voters and ultimately won the delegates required. The GOP had too many candidates, just as the Democrats have too few. Who do you think would have been able to draw in the independents, the disaffected and really pissed off Republicans and also draw in Democrat cross over voters. Who???
You can disagree with me and yell "heresy!", but it's true.
I do disagree with you (that we would be ahead if we nominated someone else). And I don't know if it is true or not because you are supposing something that hasn't happened and isn't likely to happen. You don't know that it is true. Wishful thinking does not make your supposition true anymore than my doubt makes my guess true.
It's not too late to dump Trump, and if we don't, it's over.
Again with the wishful thinking. The magical "if only" idea that you can change the past. That there is some magical mystery man who will come and save us from your fevered imagination and guesses about what might happen.
It IS too late. Trump is the designated candidate, whether you like it or not. To decide that a small group of elitist GOP insiders and a bunch of petulant children whose candidates lost should overturn the votes of hundreds of thousand, millions who supported the other candidate is absolute delusion.
If they go down that path, the GOP will most certainly lose and the country will lose its future as a free nation with a Hillary presidency. Merely losing an election would be the mildest thing that would result from the elites wrestling the election and perverting the democratic process. Ignoring the people. People are fed up to the back teeth. Maybe you live in some cotton batting protected world. Where I live people are openly talking rebellion, stocking up on guns, ammo, food and are making strategic plans to more than just survive. This latest Hillary getting off scot free just confirms that we have no government that protects the interest of the common person. Laws do not apply to the elites.
I know you don't like Trump. I'm not elevating him to any thing other than being the ONLY candidate who has spoken to the anger that the people are feeling. The ONLY one who has expressed out loud the issues that the rest of the politicians either pussy foot around or outright lie to our faces about. Whether he CAN do anything once in, remains to be seen. I do know that a Hillary administration would NOT ever do anything to help us and would further put the boot of government on our necks.
I suggest instead of holding your breath until your face turns blue because you don't like the peas on your plate, the candidate Trump, you just suck it up and work to defeat Hillary. If you want to consider her the worst choice among two bad choices, that is fine.
You have choices. Vote for Trump and hope for the best. Vote for Hillary and know we are doomed. Don't vote at all, in which case you are voting for Hillary by default.
I look at this election as being our countries last chance to stop the oligarchy, the runaway train taking us into a future that is something you don't want to think about. The last chance to peacefully save the country. If not....then the next step is one that will be very ugly.
Evi - I'm a loyal R-voter. Even this time. This is NOT about me or who I vote for.
Loyal to whom?
McConnell? Ryan? The One True Ted? Little Marco?
Trump was a R in the Reagan era, CNN even called him a Republican Conservative back then.
You'd rather vote for a lot of go-along-to-get-along slugs than somebody who's willing to fight. OK, he said what he had to to keep a corrupt, vindictive hag off his neck while she was a Senator (Senatrix?) when he should have been Patrick Henry. We're none of us perfect.
And thanks, EBL, for pointing out the realities of the ballot situation. You can say it was over when the truth about the CO, WY, and ND primaries came out. You can say it was over when the bulk of the ND delegation, which was handpicked NeverTrumpers, put Trump over the top. You can say it was over when the One True Ted couldn't take TX with 50% + 1, but it's over (you put it nicely, oopsy).

No, you don't want to believe McConnell and Ryan and Little Marco and the One True Ted sold out. They did.
We would be ahead of Clinton in the polls had we nominated someone else
Give us a specific whom.
Jeb!? The One True Ted? Even the Conservatives turned on him when they saw what he was.
Who? Give us a name. Who would be ahead in the polls?
And Trump is dead even right now which, for the first week in July, is damned good.
Who would be this wonder candidate? Or are you just foaming at the mouth with no real answer?
What some here don't realize is they are becoming just like liberals, requiring blind allegiance. When you whittle away the horseshit it comes down to, "Get in line and STFU!" I would bet 4 figures April will vote for Trump. WTF else matters? Well, here's what matters. As far as I can tell, there are no Hillary people here. Ritmo may vote for her but his derision for her is palpable. So, the angry folks need a strawman, or woman as it were, to vent their anger. Now, I'm not telling people to leave this blog. I'm suggesting to expand your horizons. There are plenty of blogs w/ actual Hillary voters and even lovers. Go battle real men, not strawmen.
I know Paul Ryan is persona non grata here. I don't like him anymore. But he was on Fox last night and said he is going to call Comey up to the House to do some 'splainin'. I like that. Nick, do not fall for the Kabuki theater in calling Comey to testify for his lack of nerve to indict a woman, who in his speech, he outlined her various lies and criminality, and within the same breath says that there isn't enough to prosecute with. What will be served by calling him to testify? More theater. More empty nonsense? Is he going to be censured? Is he going to be castigated? What?
You think Martha Stewart, Scooter Libby, and any other various people who have been indicted, prosecuted, and jailed for far far less aren't remotely pissed at this treatment of HRC by Comey? I see already that there are a few juxtaposition videos showing HRC denying this and that juxtaposed to Comey outlining her illegal incompetence and proclaiming that there isn't enough to prosecute. This is what I think of the whole thing outside of pretty much telling you all that I told you so.
What some here don't realize is they are becoming just like liberals, requiring blind allegiance. When you whittle away the horseshit it comes down to, "Get in line and STFU!"
No, not blind allegiance, but there comes a time to acknowledge your guy lost and support the winner.
Trashing The Donald does nothing to beat Hillary.
The issue is April can't believe the Whigs have sold her out (if she knew anything about politics, she'd know the Whigs sold out 80 years ago). You say toy don;ike ryan anymore.
I hope that didn't happen in the last couple of weeks.
ed, NOTHING said here does ANYTHING to defeat Hillary. We are just a few people talkin'. We don't amount to a bucket of warm spit. ed, I understand the dynamic. April brings a lot of this on herself. She seems to like the attention. You, more than anyone, gives her that power. I try and avoid attention seeking behavior. I'm not always successful but that's always my goal. But, it is times like this that I always try and remember to say to you, although we butt heads, you are a stand up dude. There isn't an ounce of manipulation, passive-aggressive, or self importance in you. I got some good friends from Philly. They too are all down to earth, stand up men.
DBQ The polls are not ALL wrong and not a single poll has Trump in the lead against a terrible disliked liar. He continues to change the subject whenever Hillary is on the ropes and ripe for the kill. His fans don’t care. Soon enough, they say. Soon, he’ll drop the atom bomb.
I think he is a mistake. A huge mistake. I think the wishful thinking involved is on Trump's chances. His chances on winning this thing are nothing to nil. I think it would be wise to dump him, and I realize it won't happen and we are stuck with him. I stand in amazement over it all. Another opportunity down the drain. Yes – it’s over. Unless he changes. I’m done waiting or expecting Trump to change. He’s moving in the other direction. He’s getting worse. He cannot articulate what needs to be said. He’s a blithering idiot.
Plenty of people who cannot stand either choice will be sitting it out. As I stated above and ad nauseum I am a reliable R voter. Meanwhile, there are democrat voters who will refuse to vote because they detest Hillary - that is not a vote for Trump.
my conversation with Brando on TOP illustrates my deep concern over Trump and his authenticity.
Brando: "I pointed out yesterday that every time Hillary was on the ropes with some bit of bad news, Trump seemed determined to jump in and save her by changing the subject. This latest is his praise of Saddam Hussein for killing terrorists. Whatever the merit of his argument (and clumsy as he made it, there is a case for us being better off working with brutal dictators in some instances against a more dangerous enemy), why on earth go off message at just the time every Republican is united in disgust for what Hillary got away with? "
Me: "I wonder why Trump does this, time and time again."
Brando: "He can't help himself. He's like the little kid who wants attention, whether negative or positive attention. This isn't about winning as a primary goal--if the GOP wanted a candidate focused on winning the general election, they would have picked someone else. Somehow, they figured if he was nasty enough to other Republicans, he'd be devastating towards Hillary, who is such a rich target. So far it doesn't seem all that devastating."
ed, NOTHING said here does ANYTHING to defeat Hillary
How many people stop by and listen? How many take something from what they read here and pass it along?
My contention is it all adds up.
Allow me to fix it, CONGRESS is the enemy.
I'll say again, look for leaks from FBI agents who worked this case.
On both points we agree.
PS Thanks for the compliment.

Where do you get this drivel? Certainly not here.
And, again, who is this wonder candidate who would jump to the lead in the polls? Put up or shut up.
He cannot articulate what needs to be said. He’s a blithering idiot.
No, that's the guy standing next to your girlfriend in NC. Run the vid again.
Plenty of people who cannot stand either choice will be sitting it out.
The ones who stay home ordinarily will do so, but participation in the Republican primary was up 62%, while with the Demos it was down 21%. Who's going to stay home?
Not the people who voted for Trump. They gave him more votes than any Republican contender in history.
But facts don't matter in the face of April's Whig hysteria.
ed, here's the thing, you want Trump to win. Shouldn't you be trying to get those who are less enthusiastic than you on board the Trump Train (if only for a protest vote against Crooked Hillary)?
AprilApple may vote Trump, may not. I guess it depends. I am sort of on the same fence, although Hillary is so despicable that I am pretty sure where I am going. But if you want to make a difference, however slight, stop bashing anyone who could be a potential ally for your cause.
I was watching HBO's John Adams this weekend (on demand) when he went to meet with Dr. Franklin in Paris. Franklin got him recalled because all he managed to do is alienate everyone in the French court. You are sort of like Adams. Hey, I am a fan of John Adams, but sometimes you have to ask yourself the question: do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?
Ed, And if Troop and Nick are right and April is trolling (I do not think she is, I think she is, but it is possible) that will become apparent if she keeps taking pop shots. If so, the best defense to that is ignore it (and she will go away because she is not getting a rise out of you).
It's OK, Evi. As anti-Trump as I sound, I still plan on voting for him at this stage and it IS a protest vote against Hillary. Purple state CO. We really are a light blue state. The petitioners are out in full force gathering D-voters. CO used to have about 100,000+ R voters to D voters. Now it's down to a few thousand R+ voters.
Look. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I respect that April and Evi are not great Trump supporters. That they had other candidates that they preferred. I'm not a Trump fanatic either, I like what he has to say even if it isn't the most elegant phrasing. It resonates with many more people than the lecturing, high minded speeches from Cruz ever did or ever would. My opinion.
It is the incessant whining about what coulda shoulda been that annoys the crap out of me. If ONLY we had someone else we would be leading in the polls. If ONLY the XYZ candidate had been picked. If only.....
Well, that f*cking ship has sailed and standing at the end of the dock whining about it isn't constructive. Bickering and fighting with each other is not helping change anyone's mind.
I'm a realist. I have always been and that is how I deal with life. Not life as I wish it was but how it is NOW. You can't change the past. All we can do is to work toward the future. Constantly dwelling on the negative only makes your life vapor lock and you get nowhere. I don't mean that we should all be Pollyanna and sing the sun will come out tomorrow. The negatives exist. Deal with it.
ed, here's the thing, you want Trump to win. Shouldn't you be trying to get those who are less enthusiastic than you on board the Trump Train (if only for a protest vote against Crooked Hillary)?
If she's as against Hillary as she says, nothing I do will dissuade her, but she's told us what has the crab up her ass - she still believes the Whigs are the real Republican party; she also believes they're the real Conservatives. That's where the cockamimi talking points come from.
She says somebody else would be miles ahead of Hillary by now and I keep asking who and she has no answer because she's still fighting the battle of '08, except she never cut her McCain/Palin lawn signs in half so it would be Palin/McCain.
She can't name anybody who would be that far ahead of Hillary - and this isn't the first time we've been down this road - as she can't really name any of those "lost opportunities" she keeps talking about, although she's sure any Whig would be silver-tongued and wouldn't make any flubs.
This is about how Trump fought the Whigs the way the Demos would and how he won. She wants a gentleman. You can't be a gentleman and beat the Demos, so, having watched her Establishment idols go down to defeat, who else is in the Establishment that's in contention?
It's kind of like Stockholm Syndrome.
PS From what I know of history, and not PBS, John Adams was one of the prissiest, most annoying human beings imaginable. Barack Obama in knee breeches and silk stockings.
Franklin had to share a room with him on a couple of occasions. Think Shouting Thomas sharing a room with Felix Unger.
I'm not saying April is trolling per se. I think she believes what she says. I think she just likes to play it up and get some spotlight. That's why I abide her. I can abide most anyone who is sincere. But shit, we have people really trolling. There's a guy here who loves Trump and hates Christie almost as much..maybe more than he hates Hillary. Well, Trump and Christie are buddies. It may be Trump/Christie. He'll almost certainly be in the cabinet if not on the ticket. Christie is the ULTIMATE Rhino. But, this guy will go along just because his God says so. Just like liberal sycophants. Those are the type that make me have a little puke in my mouth.
The "bickering and fighting w/ each other" is a result of us all being so close politically. If you crowd a bunch of cuddly kittens in close quarters they'll claw and bite each other.
Not to change the subject too awfully much, but this may be why Pissy was stammering. Poor Bernie is booed by House Demos for not endorsing the Hildabeast.
So it could be worse. The Bernies have been the most passionate crowd this year.
No spotlight, Spinelli. I believe what I say. Now - I'm not 100% certain, (who is) but I do believe what I say. If that makes me a troll - well fine. I'm a troll. Trollerina.
I'll try to be more positive in my despair, DBQ. ;-)
ed (the real troll) I think Rubio, Kasich, Cruz (maybe) Rand, Governor Walker and Ben Carson would all be beating Hillary.
Kasich - Not because I'm a fan, mind you, but because he's a middle of the road successful governor.
There are polls out there that show other candidates doing better against Hillary. I'd like the delegates to dump him if he continues to slide in the polls. (wishful thinking built-into the sandwich, but not out of the question) Funny, NOW the hack MSM are desperate to get Trump to the convention. (clues)
Of course the peeper has it wrong as usual. I do hate Christie. Just the way April hates Trump. Christie is not going to be the VP pick. Not in a million years. He is what he should be. A gofer. A minion. Trump turns to him and goes "Hey you load go get your shine box." And the toad jumps like the douche bag he is in real life. What's not to like? He couldn't be more humiliated by Trump if he tried. I enjoy him standing there like Baby Huey with his hands over his junk trying not to get yelled at. It's funny as shit.
I just don't spend all my time hammering him because he is irrelevant. Who gives a shit? What a moron.
If Christie gets a job it is to be the tame Attorney General like Loretta Lynch. That is job he can do because he will do as he is told. Plus he is expendable if he steps on his dick. Win/win. That's how power politics work.
Christie will not be the veep, but will likely be the fat Loretta. Troop is right.
John Adams was a pain in the ass and lacked a sense of humor, but he was a good man (like ed) and certainly not a pissy Alinsky jugglehead like Obama, and Adams' wife was also a very good person. PBS aside (I am not sure what ed is referring to), HBO actually did a decent job with John Adams.
John Adams is a very interesting historical character. I thought the HBO series missed the boat on him. I saw a very interesting show many years ago on PBS called "The Adams Chronicles" which covered all of the Adams family except for Morticia and Gomez.
He was a prickly son of a bitch very proper. I prefer Sam Adams. He was my kind of guy. The Billy Martin of the American Revolution.
There are polls out there that show other candidates doing better against Hillary.
Rubio, Kasich, Cruz (maybe) Rand, Governor Walker and Ben Carson
Little Marco can't make up his mind whether he wants to run for re-election to the Senate.
Still. And nobody in the base will forgive him for Gang of 8.
Kasich couldn't even win his home state without fudging the ballot - and, although he did a good job bringing jobs back to OH (he might make a good Commerce Secretary), he jacked up taxes to balance the budget. The Demos would have him for breakfast.
The One True Ted - nobody likes him.
Rand weirded everybody out when he started going all Libertarian on foreign policy and, in the age of the Obamanation, people don't seem to want more of that.
Walker imploded his own campaign. Sorry (and I was rooting for him or Jindal originally), he isn't ready for prime time.
Carson is a good man and will be a good Surgeon General, but he's the first one who went over to Trump for a good reason. Trump wins and even Carson has conceded he can be a rather prickly candidate.
Most of those guys I looked at, one time or another, and they all came up short for various reasons - Cruz' cheating and his voting record, as an example, or Rand sounding like Dad (I thought he was the sane Paul for a while) on foreign policy. One thing April forgets is you have to win the nomination and only one guy did that. It shows he's better at getting votes than the others. A hard, cold reality, but that's it.
One reason some may get better numbers off Hillary is that the media hasn't gone after them the way they have Trump. Most of these people they don't know well. Until the media introed them.
The One True Ted would still be hectored over his 8 girlfriends and the way he treated Heidi. not to mention his weird religion.
Rand would have to explain everything Dad ever said or will say. and then there's Libertarianism, which most people don't like.
Walker would get nailed as an enemy of the proletariat. And the fact he never went to college. The unions would love to get back at him.
That was one thing with Trump, people knew him. And he never missed an opportunity to go on anybody's show and state his views. Contrary to April's view, that's where they wanted to destroy him, but he used the forums to make himself known, warts and all.

I'd rather see him as head of the DOJ Civil Rights Division (he might be pretty good) with Rudy as AG, but you're probably right.
The take on Ben Franklin was right on the money though. He should have his own mini-series.
To know him is to be fascinated by him.
He was a prickly son of a bitch very proper. I prefer Sam Adams. He was my kind of guy. The Billy Martin of the American Revolution.
I would have thought that was Dan Morgan. Maybe Benedict Arnold.
Did you know his wife once pole danced for George Washington?
ed - I skip reading your tired blather after the first few words, so you need not repeat yourself on my behalf.
Trump is losing. Your guy is losing. Romney lost by 4 points to Obama. The best poll out there for Trump is him losing 5 points to Hillary, the worst most corrupt candidate in our lifetime.
How bad to you have to be to be losing to Hillary?
Little Marco would be beating Hillary in the polls.
You've really lost it. He couldn't even take his own state.
Trump is losing. Your guy is losing.
How far behind was the Romster at this point 4 years ago? Down 6.
Reagan trailed Bucketmouth by 8 in September.
And Romney didn't lose by 4 points. You took out the skew and he was winning, but you don't pay attention to things like that. you believe what the Whigs feed you. The vote fraud machine brought it home for Pissy. It was all he had.
The best poll out there for Trump is him losing 5 points to Hillary
No, dear, the latest has him down 1. I pointed that out a day or so ago, but you're too busy skipping everybody's tired blather but your own.
And how does Little Marco win if most of his own party doesn't trust him? Anybody else here think Little Marco could carry his own party?
Seriously, anybody here really think he could carry his own party?
"So, barring a Hillary indictment, an unlikely contested GOP convention, or a third-party candidate put forth by Republicans unsatisfied with Trump, we are looking at Trump-Clinton tango in November. I know it's early - and I can already hear Trump fans pointing that out in no uncertain terms - but the polls are plentiful. And they speak volumes about the nature of the race in store. One thing they say loud and clear is that Donald Trump is as unliked as any nominee from any party in our lifetimes. His unfavorables are enormous (high 60's by some accounts) and his message resonates with a vocal and passionate few."
Not only does Trump speak to the angry people here, he offers Walter Mitty types to project their concept of ideal man they dream to be. Kind of like The Duke. "People come to Trump, he doesn't go to them" was said a week or so ago. Then this afternoon, he does his Walter Mitty disparaging Christie as a "gofer." This is fascinating stuff.
April, I said I believe you to be sincere. I see situations from all angles. A very smart engineer who worked on complex civil cases w/ me taught me to do that.
Regarding Newt, I think a horrible pick as VP. Not just because he is smug, fucking hypocrite, feed of the public trough, asshole. But, because he represents what Trump is running against, insider elitists. Make him Chief of Staff so Christie can get a break running for coffee for The Boss. LOL!
And April, I hope you're taking notes on "How power politics works." The King of Court St. is imparting all his vast experience from his block in Brooklyn. Walter Mitty is his new name.
We know for some reason Walter Mitty gets a 2 inch chubby about Tom Cotton. A real man crush. Well, Cotton couldn't say one good thing about Trump when asked pointedly. OUCH!!
This is nutz and it will never happen - but the only way Trump beats Hillary is if he can convince Bernie to be his running mate and they morph "make America Great Again with The anti-corruption campaign. The ultimate fusion ticket.
ed, I think Chief of Staff for Newt would be good. And I'm not the one projecting onto Trump. I think Walter Mitty dreams about him. I know exactly who Trump is. EXACTLY. He's an easy read.
ND - No one wants to go down with the SS sinking ship Trump. Newt is it, because he is used to losing.
You do realize he was the first Republican House Speaker since '54 and the only the third after 1932 and established a Republican majority in the House that lasted for 7 terms?
Hardly a loser.
Christ, woman, are you really that ignorant of American politics?
And BTW you still haven't told us where this so-called reality of yours came from.

Maybe he was told keep it sotto voce. Supposedly, according to April's Trumpist thug, the decision has already been made.
It will be Gingrich because no one else will agree to be on his ticket. Pence? I doubt it. What good is Pence? Pence has almost NO name recognition other than with us geeks. Trump needs someone with good name recognition and popularity to balance his 60+% unpopularity.
Jeb was soundly beaten a long time ago. What's the point of bringing up Jeb Bush,ed? Another straw-man? ooo lookie ed built a straw-man, now watch him burn it down. fascinating!
Brought up Jeb! because you think matching Hillary is so important. it's called an example, not a straw man. I can bring up all 16 of the people he beat, if you want.
You need all the examples you can get because you really don't know anything about all this.
Rubio isn't my guy - he is young and articulate, and he could win in hypothetical match ups. Why he was destroyed by the media and idiots like you. Nothing to do with FL and 17 others. Unlike 70 year old former democrat inarticulate orange boob 60% of everyone on earth hates him - Trump.
He's not losing anymore than a team down 1 in the 2nd inning is losing.
You want him to lose because he was mean to all your Whig friends. So you rearrange reality to make yourself feel better. He was down double digits, but that went away. He didn't have any money (actually he didn't need it because he hasn't got all the hangers-on the Ozark Mafia has to pay), but that went away.
Poor April. All the things that made her happy are going away.
Dear, Hillary didn't beat the FBI, they were told it wasn't happening by ValJar's hand puppet. Simple as that.
And only you think he was a limp biscuit. Of course, you know what he should have said, but you won't tell us. As always.
The media's so scared of him, they have to invent charges of anti-Semitism against him. Since he's come back from that double digit problem you were whining about in only a week, he looks pretty formidable.
But you don't want to see that. The only thing that stops him is the vote fraud machine and that can be beaten with enough Reagan Democrats coming over - the way they haven't since '92.
The FBI has to answer to the Chief Executive. Comey can resign. It's been done before, but the FBI isn't a law unto itself, they can only recommend, they can't prosecute (you really don't get this, do you?). That kind of power died with J Edgar.
Trump can win. But why don't you tell him what he should have said yesterday?
More straw-men arguments from Baghdad ed. 'You really don't get this do you, Now - watch me argue against points you never made.' Another straw-man up in smoke. Impressive, ed.
More straw-men arguments from Baghdad ed. 'You really don't get this do you, Now - watch me argue against points you never made.' Another straw-man up in smoke. Impressive, ed.
Did you listen to Trumps speech? I did. It was lame.
According to you. And we all know how objective, well-informed, logical, and even-tempered you are on the subject. /sarc
We all know the FBI investigates crime and recommends prosecution or not, you idiot.
Then how do you say she beat them? She may have intimidated Comey, but he is not the FBI. And I don't know what Internet shorthand you mean, but if you say she beat the FBI, you mean she beat them and, from Comey's statement, they got the goods on her, so you're wrong again.
BTW the profanity and pejoratives mean you know you're losing the argument.
And she hasn't beaten me. I know she did wrong. The statement outlines how and what. If she beat you, that's your problem.
A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not advanced by that opponent.[1]

Frankly - it's not that devastating.
My God, what a performance. And he's using the Whigs as his justification. Well, he owns them.

They're hand-picked Democrats, dear. Or do you think they get people off the street?
And it's easier to pick on the Demos. Especially after yesterday.
But then you're for the Demos, aren't you?
Must be all that thin air. Stick the defeatism. We're trying to save this country, you're trying to hand it to them.
LOL!
Baghdad ed insists the sky is orange.
Right on cue.
Obama, Biden, Warren, anyone on stage overshadows the lesbian, buck toothed, liar.
Turncoat April insists the Demos are the better party and do everything better.
Did Benedict Arnold see it that way or did little Peggy bring him around to it?
I'm not talking about the NYC guy.

Then why is the Internet making fun of him?
Ed- you're shtick is tired and boring. Will you retire to the group think tree house now?

The media ushered in Trump so they can easily take him out.

If only for spite because the One True Ted couldn't even cheat his way to the nomination.
ndspinelli said...

You mean like Hillary did last year?
So (? too elitist?) now stuttering like a moron is a sign of intelligence?
Say the people who stutter like morons.
Obama: uuuuuhhhh. durrrh. uuuuuummm.
Hillary: I'm smaaaht, not like people say, like dumb. I'm smaaht and I got PASSED OVER!
Our dear darling April is somewhere in the Kubler-Ross five stages of grief, sounds like the bargaining stage to me. Work it out, kiddo, work it out.

Wow, Ryan is going to ask Comey to testify? Or perhaps to give him a very public tongue bath.
Ryan is the enemy, never forget that.
ed, NOTHING said here does ANYTHING to defeat Hillary.

The polls are not ALL wrong and not a single poll has Trump in the lead against a terrible disliked liar.
Brando:
"I pointed out yesterday that every time Hillary was on the ropes with some bit of bad news, Trump seemed determined to jump in and save her by changing the subject. "
Me:
"I wonder why Trump does this, time and time again."
Brando:
"He can't help himself.
Allow me to fix it, CONGRESS is the enemy. Comey will testify in front of the girly Chaffetz committee. He is a pussy, prissy, imbecile.
I'll say again, look for leaks from FBI agents who worked this case.

A piece of good news for us all, except maybe April.
Sen Corker has withdrawn his name (which IIRC he himself out forth) from consideration to be Trump's running mate.
There's a bullet ducked.
Eddy for once in his life the peeper is right. April is just trolling. You need to ignore it.
We have more important things to focus on in this election. Time to move on.
ed, here's the thing, you want Trump to win.
Trolling for Truth, baby.
Ed, And if Troop and Nick are right and April is trolling (I do not think she is, I think she is, but it is possible) that will become apparent if she keeps taking pop shots. If so, the best defense to that is ignore it (and she will go away because she is not getting a rise out of you).
Evi - When I get my ballot in the mail and it says Trump (R) - I will fill it in. How many times to I have to say it?
I'm under the illusion that my vote will amount to jack squat.
I'd love it if Baghdad ed would ignore me. Please! Now Troop - that one just hurts.
April--good for you! Are you in a swing state or a (D) or (R) leaning one?
April: I wrote "I do not think she is..." so I am not sure why my comment got garbled.

I'm telling you - Trump-Bernie 2016. The anti-corruption campaign.
The take on Ben Franklin was right on the money though. He should have his own mini-series.
VP Gingrich. No one else wants to do it.
2 old white guys. Now I like Gingrich. He does have the rhetorical skills, but the media and the left will skewer them.

Little Marco would be beating Hillary in the polls.
Not that you give a crap about losing. You wanted to burn it down. You get - burn it down.
ed - I skip reading your tired blather after the first few words, so you need not repeat yourself on my behalf.
Trump is losing. Your guy is losing. Romney lost by 4 points to Obama. The best poll out there for Trump is him losing 5 points to Hillary, the worst most corrupt candidate in our lifetime.
How bad to you have to be to be losing to Hillary?
AprilApple said...
Bueller, Bueller?
For those a little more in touch with reality, some words from the man on the Veepstakes
Well I’m actually looking at ten people. And three or four have called me up. Very big names and governor and all. And they want to be considered and we’re looking very, very strongly. I met with Joni. She’s terrific. Very supportive… We have about ten people. Some names that haven’t surfaced yet.
The primary is over, ed. The media dragged Trump across the finish line for Hillary.
When there were 17 candidates, Rubio and Carson were ahead of Hillary in the polls.
Election projection
Joni is out.
Reality:
Polls
Weeks old.
You do realize a few things have happened since then?
Orlando, emails, all kinds of stuff like that there.
AprilApple said...

And they all got beaten didn't they? 5 months ago, it was cold, too.
Reality:
According to whom?
PS Yes, let's throw it all away because of one website nobody knows anything about.
Where do you get this dreck, Ryan's newsletter?
LOL!
ed- you should ignore the polls and continue to live in Trump-fever-Koolaid land., It's nice in there.
And April, I hope you're taking notes on "How power politics works." The King of Court St. is imparting all his vast experience from his block in Brooklyn. Walter Mitty is his new name.
ND - No one wants to go down with the SS sinking ship Trump. Newt is it, because he is used to losing.
Newt won't be VP, WH CoS, maybe, senior advisor.
Oh, for the guy who's doing so poorly, off the WaPo, Trump outperforms in June fundraising. Another of April's panics a couple of weeks ago.
PS nd, are you sure you're not projecting a lot onto Trump?
We know for some reason Walter Mitty gets a 2 inch chubby about Tom Cotton. A real man crush. Well, Cotton couldn't say one good thing about Trump when asked pointedly. OUCH!!
This is nutz and it will never happen - but the only way Trump beats Hillary is if he can convince Bernie to be his running mate and they morph "make America Great Again with The anti-corruption campaign. The ultimate fusion ticket.
It's pure fantasy, but it would kill Hillary.
ed, I think Chief of Staff for Newt would be good. And I'm not the one projecting onto Trump. I think Walter Mitty dreams about him. I know exactly who Trump is. EXACTLY. He's an easy read.
It's about time Trump raised money.
This has been a lively discussion. Kudos to all.

Corker wisely suggests Ivanka.
Jeb was soundly beaten a long time ago. What's the point of bringing up Jeb Bush,ed? Another straw-man? ooo lookie ed built a straw-man, now watch him burn it down. fascinating!

Yeah, he spent one tenth as much as Jeb! and Jeb! got 4 whole delegates out of it.
Not to mention the One True Ted and Little Marco.

As I say no Newt. April knows as much about VP choices as she does the history of the US House. That's why she's always so wrong.
And where's the citation on that so-called "Reality"?
Gingrich lost to Romney in 2012 prez primary.
Little Marco would be beating Hillary. Your guy, he's losing.
Brought up Jeb! because you think matching Hillary is so important.
it's called an example, not a straw man. I can bring up all 16 of the people he beat, if you want.
You need all the examples you can get because you really don't know anything about all this.

By those polls 5 months old?
Little Marco lost FL to Trump. If he can't carry his home state, he can't beat anybody.
Your guy can't even get on the ballot. Your guy's the loser.
Koolaid - drinky drinky.
And Hillary's negatives are just as bad. According to Fox, 70% say she's untrustworthy.
Funny how you aren't screeching about that little factoid that the one with the highest negatives often wins. Like Reagan back in '80.
But you always ignore facts you don't like.
And I take it your kool-aid reference is how you get all the legal MaryJane.
I said above, and any times prior, it takes work to lose to the most distrusted candidate in history. Or is that not clear enough for you, ed?
And here's a little something to really ruin your day.
The most hated candidate usually wins.
And you say you don't get all warm for Marco, but he's the one to beat Cacklepants. I remember you saying it was him or Rand about 4 or 5 months ago.
He must be heartbroken you've forsaken him.
I'm heartbroken Hillary will win because YOU chose wrong, ed.
You want Hillary to win so you can feel good. You're just another Whig in the Uni-Party.
And most of the Republican party chose him over all the Whigs. How could they? He was so stupid and inarticulate, he was supposed to lose.
Now all you have is the Hildabeast, and she was supposed to go up the river, but that nasty old Comey doublecrossed you.
How could he?
Put down the pitcher of margaritas and the pitcher of magic Kool Aid and go beddy-byes.
You'll only get depressed learning about how wrong you are.
ed ache - YOU want Hillary to win. That's why you swill Trump's koolaid.
Actually ed - I want Trump to beat the shit out of Hillary. I don't even care at all if I look the fool for not being a true believer. Don't care.
If someone as horrid and untrustworthy as Hillary can beat the FBI, and live above the law - you think someone like Trump can beat her? Delusional.
In the meantime, yesterday Trump was a limp biscuit with this issue.
Funny how the entire Internet has called this video "damning".
mmmmm koolaid. It's refreshing.
More straw-men arguments from Baghdad ed. 'You really don't get this do you, Now - watch me argue against points you never made.'
Another straw-man up in smoke. Impressive, ed.
That's not a straw man, dear.
You said she beat the FBI and I explained the bureau's limitations.
As I say, you really don't get this stuff.
Did you listen to Trumps speech? I did. It was lame.
She beat the FBI is shorthand on the internet, you dumbshit.
She beat all of us. Or do you not understand?
We all know the FBI investigates crime and recommends prosecution or not, you idiot.
More straw-men arguments from Baghdad ed. 'You really don't get this do you, Now - watch me argue against points you never made.'
Another straw-man up in smoke. Impressive, ed.
Look up straw man.
You obviously don't know the meaning.

42 posts so far April. You've beaten my estimations by at least 12 and I suspect there will be more. You've nearly consumed half of this thread.
/running away now.
guilty as charged. Sic the FBI after me!
OK ed-
A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not advanced by that opponent.[1]
Describes your argument style perfectly.
AprilApple said...
guilty as charged. Sic the FBI after me!
Can't. they won't do anything with you anyway. :D
You made an erroneous statement - that she beat the FBI, then tried to backtrack by claiming it was some sort of Internet shorthand only you know.
That was the statement to which I referred, nothing else.
I pointed out the errors by raising Comey's statement that the FBI specified her violations.
You, of course, refuse to take note of anything which refutes anything you say.
Your lack of self-awareness is astounding.
ache - Your straw-man arguments are littered everywhere. "You want Hillary to win" etc..
You certainly sound like it.
You hate Trump more than her.
Lots more.
If you didn't, you wouldn't be bitching so much.
I'm not emotionally involved like you are. You're like an ObamaBot, except with orange.
I sound like I hate Trump - and?
You really cannot get off that, can you. Everyone must worship Trump like Ed does.
I'm not big Trump supporter either.
For what is worth.
I am a small Trump supporter too, FWIW.
