Train passengers sing Over the Rainbow

The song-activist passes out the lyrics. But then the ukulele player sings the song somewhat counter-punctually. He's not singing it as Judy Garland does. And that takes awhile for the passengers to catch on to. But they do. And even with that, the whole thing is rather instantaneous.

*maudlin drunk voice* It's beautiful.

It's so harmonious when your culture is so culturfied as homogenous milk, when everyone's on the same page. When everyone appropriates American culture appropriately and appositely.

This is Perth, which is what, Australialand where everyone has a pet kangaroo.

But speaking of rainbows.

Today it was bright.

And then became dark.

And as I sat down I heard raindrops.

And then I heard rain.

And then the sky lit up.

While the rain increased.

It was the weirdest thing.

The rain got heavier and the sky got brighter.

And you know what that means.

It means there's a rainbow out there somewhere.

Couldn't stand being part of a captive audience when this sort of thing happened too many times in the NYC subway.

I have seen plenty of singers on the NYC subways but never a sing-a-long like this.
