This was the beginning, or at least confirmation of initial suspicions, that the media was completely full of shite.
The FBI/Government will railroad your ass as fast as they can. I used to support them and the police, well, no more. Never talk to the police or FBI. Simply ask for your right to a lawyer. That's the only words they need to hear from you.

Allen, I would add to that, NEVER let cops intimidate you to search your car. There are trustworthy cops but you have no way of knowing unless you know the cop personally.

Did you guys see the parody of Althouse melting down? It was made by EBL. She (well, Hitler) curses out Troop, spinelli, Sixty and some other regulars in it. Me? Not a mention.

Go back and look at my prior writings about my dealing(s) with LE. I'm not for them, I'm not against them. I deal with them in the least way possible or not at all. It's either single word answers consisting of yes/no or Lawyer. Nothing else. They have become utterly untrustworthy overall. They bring the full power and weight of the government at their disposal with infinite time and money to bury you in a hole of your choosing.
Until LE can have various shield laws removed from their line of work and this includes prosecutors too, then every single one of you is suspect and vassals of the state. I can't use the argument that there are a few bad apples in the bunch. Now all I see are bad apples. They aren't my friend, they aren't my buddy. They have coordinated hit squad out to ruin people's lives if they don't play their stupid reindeer games.
I am with you, Meth, I try to be just respectful enough of the local Barney Fifes so as not to upset them. They have the power to kill you on the spot with impunity.

I love your new name. It reminds me of how I've come to detest Sean Hannity and his constant use of phraseology about bleach bit, hammers, Russia Russia, Russia and his incessant need to interrupt his guests to show everyone he's just as smart and articulate.

It's getting worse. As long as I don't show an LEO that I'm not a threat then chances are I'll be just fine. The instant I would go into non-compliance or what they perceive as threat mode, then that's when things get out of hand. The real problem is, is what if perceived the LEO to be a threat to me?
I've thought about this quite a lot actually, especially as a guy who is applying to carry concealed. If it was between me and an LEO and I see him as a threat to my life, I'll take my chances to stop the threat. I respect what these guys do, but my life is just as important as theirs if not more so, otherwise, why are they there? To protect and serve? To see to it that life and property are preserved? That implies that my life and property are more valuable and they are there to protect it.
Although I know that SCOTUS has ruled that LE doesn't have a constitutional obligation to protect me, that's why it falls on me to not rely on them and I don't. I rely on myself. But if there was ever a situation where it was between either me or a cop. I'll make sure the cop loses. I even hate saying that, but facts are facts. I want disproportionate conflict if it ever comes to it. I will fight as unfairly as possible to preserve my life. I don't want to do it, but if I have to assess like they assess, the perceptions of threats, then I will too and act accordingly.
I'm pretty much done putting these guys on pedestals. Soldiers too. I respect them, I thank them for what they've done, but they aren't super hero's. They are humans with human foibles and I don't want to be a victim to those foibles.

Amen to that. I won't watch him for that reason. His questions aren't genuine, as he isn't looking for additional awareness or a supporting/contrary viewpoint so much as using the question as an excuse to pontificate and present his view. It drives me nuts.
Hey, that's "Thirteen" from House! I recognize her. Just rewatched episode 22 from season 5 of House to see if after nearly a year of ASL I had made any progress in being able to read sign when done by an actual deaf actor. I kind of have - that's encouraging!
