WKRLEM: Mick Jagger coming to New York for Heart Surgery
Don't you just hate these old bastards complaining about their heart problems.. I mean they lead the lifestyle that ended them up with the bum tickers so shut the fuck up and take it loser.
I hear that, Troops. He should have chosen his parents better - I am sure it comes from genetics or upbringing or something. He could certainly have chosen a better hospital - New York - feh - go to Duke, boy. See a good surgeon!
Mick actually has been living "healthy" for decades: jogging every day, no smoking, no drinking...
Meanwhile Keith Richards is not needing heart surgery. Neither does Ron Wood. Both had a penchant for Jack Daniels and smoking (let alone the heroin for a while).
Jagger's always been a bit of a health nut so that's not it. The ticker parts wear out faster on some people. It is hilarious that Keef keeps on trucking even despite his lifetime of dissolute ways (only recently lightly curtailed) ... and falling out of cocount trees, etc. ... while Ronnie and now Mick have had their health issues.
Also, Jagger's no cockney. He's a fauxckney. That accent, as well as his highbrow accent, is made up. Which I don't care about but is a fact. I don't think he even has a real accent anymore but he's middle class Dartford (suburb on London) boy in origin.
I read that he is having a stent installed, which means that he has at least on coronary artery which is stenosed.
I had mine checked back on 2005 prior to valve surgery and I have to say that the contrast dye used to check for blockages is strange stuff - you can feel it burn - they inject it, and if you count your heartbeats, by the time your heart has pumped twice the dye is in your extremities - just like that - two heartbeats and your hands and feet are burning. Who knew that one's circulatory system is so efficient. Well, mine is, anyway.
It just now occurred to me that some of that stuff might still be sloshin' around in there. Well huh...

Once a Cockney always a Cockney!
The miracle is it took it 75 years to finally go on strike.

Jagger and Trump are seemingly two of the healthiest old guys around but they sure didn't take the same road to get there.
