Surfaces

Reading and reporting the surface.

You're so cute. Tell us, Kyle, all that you see of this iceberg.

Tell us, all that you know of this geode.

Jason, tell Kyle what you see in those tweets. [Comment made elsewhere]

One of the things I love best about POTUS is that his foes so often underestimate him that they don’t even know when he’s executing a deliberate strategy.

POTUS picks his opponents, like any smart competitor does. Why take on Beyonce when you can fight with Rosie O’Donnell instead? Why battle with a German Sheppard if you have the option to combat a chihuahua?

POTUS wants to face Bernie. That’s a slam-dunk win. Reagan-Mondale. Nixon-McGovern.

Bernie is not a slouch, particularly in these radical post-Barry days. But the real truth is that POTUS beats Bernie easily because the Democrats wont let Bernie win the general election. They won’t. They will run Schultz or Bloomberg to stop him, and thus POTUS wins easily in 2020.

Hence, POTUS deliberate elevation of Bernie.

He’s doing the same thing to Omar. It’s all planned, all calculated. And it’s working brilliantly.

If the Democratic primary were held today, Bernie would win. And the Democrat Establishment knows it, and hates it.

And POTUS loves it. So expect more of these Bernie “call outs” in the time to come.

End.

Actually, the Democrat club hasn't yet announced their chosen candidate. Once they do then everything else falls into line.

All the data sets collected by various candidates devolve to the chosen candidate. As a club, a very old-fashioned club, they are remarkably predictable.

They are grooming their chosen candidate, and their chosen one is grooming themself. They strongly prefer a person of color, they are after all race-oriented. And they strongly prefer a female, because they cynically play the precious conceits of their base. A woman of color with some faint experience is their perfect candidate. It doesn't matter how qualified the candidate. It doesn't matter how good the person will be for the country. It doesn't matter how alienating to the rest of the country. All they care about is who they believe they can drag across the finish line.

And that's why we get stories about Michelle Obama touring the Seine past the Notre-Dame relating her own stories about visiting the Cathedral briefly as a child, while publicizing her book.

She wants us to believe that she sprang from disadvantaged background due to race, and she wants us to know she visited the Notre-Dame as a child. The discordant lines are irrelevant for a Democrat candidate being groomed. The Democrat base dismisses discordant lines in their candidates.

Imagine it, taking a boat ride past the latest international catastrophe and making it about yourself. The timing just so exquisite. If a Republican had done that the reporting would be quite different. The coordinated attention given this woman is purposeful.

And strange things like floating past a burnt ancient monument still smoldering and delivering a discordant message doesn't matter to Democrat base any more than Bernie Sanders not answering a question about his own discordant position on taxes, his supporters so easily misdirected by deflection to Trump who never made the case for higher taxes or government control over healthcare.

Mike was the daughter(?) of a Chicago ward heeler, free ride to Princeton, hardly disadvantaged.

And you're right about them, picking the nominee. War between the Os and the Ozarks, with the crazies tossed in.

You might almost say Buttpeg would the perfect compromise, but I don't think even the Demos are that suicidal.

I say they'll go with Kamala Harris. Who will be even easier to beat than Bernie. Why? Because she's like fingernails on a blackboard.

By the way, what's a geode? Yes, I'm no science whiz like chick. But I'm cute. :^(

I agree -- Trump is trying to elevate Bernie's stature because he wants to run against him. That is, in fact, exactly what the Dems and Dem media did to Trump in 2015-2016, and for the same reason.

Careful what you wish for.

Kyle does not need to know about the rest of the iceberg. Shhh.
Nevermind, he wouldn't believe it anyway.

I suspect Michelle is even lazier than her husband. She would decline to run but accept if nominated. I imagine her preference in life is gabbing with her girlfriends while painting her toenails as Judge Mathis plays on the TV.

This is a very good post and very true. I still can't believe Democrats kneecapped Biden (although he is not out yet).

Very insightful post.

Ampersand: And she'd be the laziest president ever but the media would love her.

I think they are going to try to push Michelle in as a compromise at the convention. But those days of smoke filled rooms are over. There are too many moving parts. All of the people who spent so much money and time in the primaries are not going to roll over.

I think Bernie will be the nominee. He will have a solid plurality in the same way that President Trump did and the rest of the field will go along with him.

The really interesting question is who he would pick as his VP. I would go with Kameltoe but he might offer it to Michelle. Would she go for it. It's the perfect job for her.
