I listened to hear the dad-like voice with this thought coming up:
IMO a dad with buttoned-down, spit shine behavior, focused, outcome-based thought processes and dedication to measurable results, absolutely deserved the burst of inquiry, creativity, spontaneity, and fascination with novelty (and systems) that sprang forth from his offspring.
I'd go so far as to wonder if some of that son-revealed energy wasn't somewhere in him all along, held tightly under wraps until it was released in another form.
