I'm glad you mentioned Shatner. I watched it twice specifically to gauge his reaction. His timing is perfect. He lets her go on a few seconds with no reaction then indicates slow comprehension well after. A lesser actor knowing the script would react too soon. He's a better actor than most people give him credit for by exaggerating his speech pattern in Star Trek. I think.

Shatner's reaction is brilliant. And April 25th is not a bad date, at least so far.
And she is brilliant compared to this U. S. American.

That was my thought - his acting was terrific in that scene. No scenery was chewed, there...were...no...undue...dramatic...pauses!
