For the first time the new president of Mexico permitted citizens to tour the interior of the president's home.

Daily Mail says "dazzled Mexicans" and "leftist ruler" and "It's like Versailles!"

Actually, one viewer said it was like entering Versailles after the revolution. Big difference. The exterior and parts of the interior look like bits of various Frank Lloyd Wright homes.

Tons of pictures at the link. Daily Mail always does have the best photo essays. Comments over there are disparaging and pessimistic.

Odd, everyone's an expert on foreign country's politics even as evidence to contrary is current at hand. Obrador's eagerness to work up a treaty with Trump for example that helped Mexico greatly contrasted with Trudeau's resistance that hurt his country seriously. Mexico's cooperation with Trump with handling the caravan immigrants. Even now Mexico sent its foreign minister to Washington for talks.

Hey, the American Army had to fight to get up Chapultepec.

Hard to say how Lefty AMLO is, but Conservative has a different meaning in Mexico than most places.
