I'm guessing here, but I'll assume that Washington generally is alarmed with administration instability while Trump supporters sense the situation improving.
All the information about Stephen Miller on YouTube is from sources that I no longer give any credence, CNN, MSNBC, late night hosts who imagine themselves amusing, and all acting as DNC operatives delivering DNC propaganda. While I like the few things that I've seen of Stephen Miller. He is argumentative and seems to enjoy a good slap down. He comes on shows that sensible people don't bother watching cocked and loaded for bear. I've seen only a few segments. The commenters on the places where I've seen these segments seem to agree that they'd wish Miller had more influence. They like him.
Trump fired Secret Service Director Randolph Alles.
Miller has targeted for removal Cissna, Grady and Mitnick for being too soft.
Clair Grady quit instead. She was positioned to take over Kirstjen Nielsen position at top of Homeland Security. Her position is third in line but the second position was vacant.
That leaves Kevin McAleenan to take the position until Trump nominates a permanent secretary.
This is post hoc ergo propter hoc speculation but all this follows immediately a Chinese woman caught at Mar a Lago who shouldn't have been there and with electronic things that she shouldn't have had on her. Further search of her hotel exposed more spying related electronics.

That's racist!
I know. But she is that race and she does look like that. So shut up.
Judging from my own remote point of view, I'd say these changes have as much to do with anticipated organized assaults on our southern border as they do with a single Chinese spy. Trump is hardening the agencies at his disposal and he's not having any border non hard liners standing in his way.
Here's the thing. If you have a position in the Trump administration you'll be expected to perform in accordance with Trump's wishes. The positions are considered temporary and they are performance based. This is unacceptable to so many, the pressure unbearable, so they leave. And all of that is natural. He is, after all, known for his catchphrase, "You're fired."
What strange amazing glee those words brought to viewers of that show. People much larger than themselves being fired by Trump sitting behind his desk like a huge scowling toad.
From my remote place I see Trump doing the best that he can with available resources with the bulk of established government working against him. While Trump's available resources are vast.
Vast as the greatest empire to ever have existed on this earth. Far more vast than any of the Egyptian pharaohs known for all of their decorative gold. More vast than the incredibly huge Chinese Asian continent and their burgeoning economy and their own very long wall. Bigger than USSR at its greatest. More vast than the British Empire at its globe spanning peak. Bigger than the Roman empire with its own wall across Britain. The United States economy is the most vast thing to exist. And President Trump controls it.

Your likeness is a great likeness of the original likeness. If anything, the original has higher cheekbones. Liz Warren approves.
It looks like a sketch of the Virgin Mary by a New Yorker cartoonist.
