Ptahhotep Maxim 35: Discipline

This is the shortest maxim. It's hardly even worth it. We do see some interesting things like the determinative sign for "punishment" is the same determinative sign for "teaching," a man hitting something with a stick. In both cases the subject is beaten.

In its unique way, the maxim says:

* Punish in kind, teach in measure
* for the treatment of misdeeds sets a kind of example
* As for a case other than about wrongdoing,
* it is one that makes a complainer become an opponent.

The introductory animation is Hathor the cow goddess coming through the papyrus and saying "Moooo." Obviously, she says that in hieroglyphs. It has nothing to do with the maxim, just something I drew. Silly. Because it's the sound, she'd really say "Muuu" and that would be owl, chick, chick, chick, chick.
