What Not to Wear

I'm watching this show on Amazon Prime. This woman has 9 kids. A few of her kids starred on Everybody Loves Raymond and they suggested her for the show. She was a real mess. And her transformation is stunning. The best part of this show is the reveal to the family and friends who break down to tears when they see the result. Her episode was really good.

Some of the people on this show are outrageous. But look how great Stacy is dressed in this key frame. Sometimes I wonder with her, what's with the Morticia hair streak? In some episodes she's colored it out. Clinton told the woman her breasts look like she's carrying two melons with dental floss. They need to get most all the women fitted properly with the right bra.

Morticia was classy and had no streak in her hair, unlike that tramp Lily. Ask Troop.

The selections suggested made a huge difference.

I do like this show in that it shows women AND men how to dress more appropriately for their body styles. The hair and make-up do over's are also pretty helpful. The hosts also seem to be truly wanting to help their subjects and not just trying to humiliate them.

HOWEVER.....giving someone THOUSANDS of dollars to buy clothing that is well constructed and expensive, instead of Wal-Mart or Target crappola from China and Honduras will also make a big difference. Clothing made for adults instead of teens.

What I have noticed about women in particular, is that they tend to get stuck fashion wise in the era where they felt the best about themselves, despite the fact that that time may be 30 years ago.

Refusal to admit you have aged is one of the worst looks a woman can wear.

I don't know about that, DBQ, but I do have a picture of me at the age of 4 wearing a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers, so my personal fashion style has been established for 65 years or so. When it works it works, just sayin'. ;^)

The show is compelling. One episode three young women were complete messes. The image all three projected was based on some pretty f'k'd up psychology going on. Stacy and Clinton managed to unpack all the crap going on in their heads and turned out 3 very lovely young women who know what they want to project.

Men in Denver dress as boys. Baseball cap, t-shirt, short pants, white ankle socks and sneakers of some kind, trainers, or whatever. 60 year old men dress as boys. And those loose polyester basketball shorts are the worst.

I do have to admit that this show is a slightly guilty pleasure.

This show has been on like forever. They really found a winning formula. And they did a nice job with that lady. I think DBQ's right that this woman refused to see herself as 47 instead of 17. They turned her into an adult. A great service.

Ric, that is true about how people perceive themselves. She has nice boobies though.
