Tracking shot for 1927 film "Wings."



Wings was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant"

That is a great shot though, even for today. For 1927 it is amazing.

Look where Leni Riefenstahl took the track shot in her 1936 "Olympia" and Orson Wells in the opening shot of "Touch of Evil.

Touch of Evil is an interesting movie, one that I watched just due to the opening tracking shot. Orson knew a thing or two.
