I'm Dr Sumner Sloane, Professor of World Literature at the U. He has an article in Harper's. Diane's been my teaching assistant for two years. Today, I was sitting in my office with Diane. I looked up from my Proust, she had her nose in her Yeats. I said to myself, "I would be crazy to let this girl get out of my life. " So, right there on the spot, I said, "Let's get married. " What he actually said was, "Come with me and be my love, and we will some new pleasures prove. " - That's Donne. - I certainly hope so. Today I was sitting in my office with Diane. I looked up from my Proust, she had her nose in her Yeats. I said to myself 'I would be crazy to let this girl get out of my life'.
So right there on the spot I said 'Let's get married'."
"What he actually said was 'Come with me and be my love, and we will some new pleasures prove.'
That's Donne."
"I certainly hope so!"

And, referring to the earlier Donne post, this one has an odd rhyme too. "Love" and "prove". Hmm... Maybe John was using spelling rather than pronunciation to write his poems.
Presently snowing. No nice sunsets for a while. Here's from the St Paul MN paper --
The Twin Cities dodged the icy bullet with a major snow storm going south last week, but they might take a hit this weekend.
It won’t be ideal weather for an Easter egg hunt, and yes, those sleeveless sundresses will still require a sweater.
“Spring is on hold until further notice!” the National Weather Service’s Twin Cities office tweeted Thursday afternoon.
I think we have turned the corner here - no more temps below 32 in the immediate forecast. I am good with that.
Just finished feeding the cats. About six inches of snow. Windy. Nothing says Easter Sunday like a half of foot of snow. Low temps forecast -- tonight 3, S 10, M 24, T 4, W 5, T 8, F 8, S 10, S 10. Nice, real nice. This is Algore's fault isn't it?
Brrrr. Inside cats or barn cats?
