wooden sun

Saw this swirly sun design on some woodworker's site. If he sees this he'll probably think, "Hey! My grass is better than that."  Sixty Grit's designs are just awesome. They intrigue the h-e-double routed wooden sticks out of me.

See, it's not two glued together. That would be too simple. The challenge is do them in one block. You got to rout halfway through for the top design then rout all the way through for the second design. They're all clever as h-e-double curved wooden sun rays.

But what do you do with them?

You hang them on the wall over the place and blow people's minds.

They are trivets - someone who is as good a cook as you are should have a dozen of them, easy. We can talk...

I think they're trivets...or at least some were labeled as such. I thought they were stuck together. Leave it to you to discern the method, show-off.

Blowing people's minds is the opposite of button holing.

Which is how something that started out as a resting place ends up on a wall.
