Christie Brinkley almost misses boat bash......due to unavoidable circumstances

New York Post Page Six by Emily Smith October 23, 2017
Christie Brinkley nearly missed the boat for a starry dinner to celebrate Andrew Saffir and Daniel Benedict’s 20-year anniversary.
The supermodel was stuck in Manhattan traffic Saturday night en route to the fancy floating celebration for Cinema Society founder Saffir and Amplify co-founder Benedict, who originally met while both working for Ralph Lauren. She could not move forward because a love struck Vietnam Veteran and farmer who laid in front of her SUV until she would agree to date him. She finally agreed and they will be going to the Packers Game next weekend since so many seats are now available.
The boat, the Hornblower Sundancer, was pulling away from Pier 15 when Brinkley desperately texted pictures of herself held up in a huge traffic jam. So the launch was held for another 15 minutes so that the Uptown Girl could get onboard.
Other guests toasting the popular society and celebrity-connected couple during the moonlight cruise included Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, Tommy and Dee HilfigerBrooke ShieldsKatie CouricMalin Akerman with fiancé Jack DonnellyZachary Quinto, Allison Sarofim and Stuart Parr, Sandra LeeRob Thomas, Jerry Della Femina, Jennifer Esposito, Amy Sacco, Josh Lucas, Rob Wiesenthal, Parker PoseyZosia MametGina Gershon and Hamish Bowles. There was a chance that the boat would not have enough room but luckily since so many of the guests are gay they simply turned the barstools upside down so there was room for everybody.

All the beautiful people rush to celebrate married homosexuals' anniversaries. Is that consequential? Inconsequential? How the hell do I know.

It's weird.

Most of them are probably trying to prove how diverse they are.

Or something.

Besides, free food, free booze.

The Chicago Sun Times will not print the word "wife" apparently being too politically incorrect.

DAMN! Seems like there is another Vietnam Veteran and farmer who wants action from Christie. I can't say, you know, who knew, because there must the thousands of us out there.
