Sanders: Democratic Convention Could Be 'Messy'

AP:  Sanders said he will "condemn any and all forms of violence" but his campaign was welcoming political newcomers and first-time attendees of party conventions. He said the Democratic Party faces a choice of becoming more inclusive or maintaining the status quo.

"I think if they make the right choice and open the doors to working-class people and young people and create the kind of dynamism that the Democratic Party needs, it's going to be messy," Sanders said.

"Democracy is not always nice and quiet and gentle but that is where the Democratic Party should go."

Asked if the convention could be problematical, Sanders said: "So what? Democracy is messy. Everyday my life is messy. But if you want everything to be quiet and orderly and allow, you know, just things to proceed without vigorous debate, that is not what democracy is about."

Sanders mentions “what democracy is about.", and you have heard the chant: “this is what democracy looks like”. I do not agree that democracy is messy or chaotic. People who think that disruption and protest and shouting down your opponents is how you win power need to find a new reich to support.

We are an orderly society and we wrote down the rules for how we self-govern. Everyone gets a chance to express their opinion. People are free to seek out whatever sources of new information they want. Then in a fair and open process- we vote.

Maybe the Dems should move the convention to Chicago and have Rahm do his Mayor Daley impersonation getting these rebels in line.

I doubt there will be Chicago like violence, but there is definite disunity.

This is a representative republic. Democracy is mob rule. Democrats have that baked into their party name.

Sorry I won't be posting for awhile. I'm on my way to an interview. Hopefully something comes out of it.

One could use the same description for the French Revolution.

With all the BlackLives, gender, feminut, and La Raza crowd there, messy may turn out to be the understatement of the century.

Look them straight in the eye, be positive, and don't swear. I'm not sure you do swear. Buena suerte.

This Terry McCauliffe thing appears to show the email investigation is not the biggest problem. It is public corruption, Clinton Foundation, favors afforded foreign companies by Hillary as SOS.

If the FBI could ever get McCauliffe to flip, they will learn a lotta shit. "If" is the operative word.

Best of luck, Lem.

The Clinton Crime Family must be stopped in order for America and Americans to have a chance.

nd nails it.

Twice.

And, to show how bad the Demos feel, consider this:

As Willie does his best Kevin Bacon "Remain Calm. All is well", Salon panics marvelously.

Bonus laugh - the sophomoric psuedo-political jargon to paint Trump the the renascent Republican base as, you guessed it, Mussolini marching on Rome, if not you-know-who marching on Warsaw.

PS Best of luck, Lem. Be cool. Smile. You've got the goods.

Good Luck Buddy. I am sure you will do great.

Just don't mention that you are a Red Sox Fan. We don't want them to think you are a lowlife.
