I really don't know why anyone would find that offensive, but I'm sure some do.
Is anyone being demeaned? It looks pretty egalitarian to the point that it would take a modern day university education to glean which people are supposedly second class in that. But you would need a bus full of trigger warnings and armed guards to show that to the tender snowflakes of today.
