local weather: 20 degrees feels like 13. by Friday it will be 62. hurry up Friday.
I toss every single catalog into the recycle bin without looking at any of them. Don't you? However I begrudgingly thumbed thru the Hammacher Schlemmer catalog. Glad I did - omg hilarious.
I would have bought something today, but one problem... my debit card expires 12/15. That's tomorrow. I've tried to get the bank to do something, anything, but no one seems capable of finding out what the problem is. Twice this month I've called the HQ for the bank and once went personally to my bank, and I keep getting told "soon, very soon you'll get it". Well, we'll see if anything arrives in the mail today. I have my doubts.
I hope so, but I've received 7 emails telling me that it will expire "shortly". I have two letters saying about the same thing. One is from my telephone company dated 11/16 that says "card ending in **** will expire within the next 15 days".
Tomorrow, on the 1st day of 12/15, I'll go to the bank and try withdrawing some money from the ATM.
I have subscriptions and pay monthly bills that automatically deduct the money from my account. Most of them are concerned that it will expire today.
That's what Netflix told me, too, but I think they just want to make sure you get your new card on record before the absolute deadline. Or maybe it's the custom for automatic payments to end 15 days before the card is actually expired. For general purposes I think it's good for the whole month.

It was freezing here this morning. I just bought a pair of ice scrapers for my kids' windshields -- something CA stores are not likely to carry.

The reefs proved to be too formidable even for the Pats.

Allen, IIRC 12/15 means you can use it till the end of December.
