Are we more afraid of PC than afraid of the terrorist?

"A local (Revere, Mass) high school cheerleading captain was disciplined after she sent out a tweet about illegal immigrants."
She says it was a political statement, not a racial one. FOX25 spoke with the teen who says she was taking a page from Donald Trump. Caley Godino is a senior at Revere High School and she says part of their homework is to watch these presidential debates and her tweet was simply about a hot button issue in the headlines.
"When only 10 percent of Revere votes for mayor cause the other 90 percent isn't legal," Godino said in the tweet.
She says it was a response to a tweet from her teacher about the low voter turnout for November's mayoral race. Caley says she meant her tweet as a political comment, not a racial one.
But after other students complained, the school stepped in. Revere Superintendent Dianne Kelly says the district believes in freedom of speech, but cannot support what she calls insensitive language. (read more and watch video at the link)

One of my best friends teaches at Revere High.

He said 1/2 the kids don't speak english and just sit there in class. The other 1/2 text nude pics to each other.

I go to two gyms-my local gym in Cambridge on weekdays-very elite-not many hot guys.
And then my weekend gym in Revere where the guys are fucking amazing-Revere is basically Jersey Shore, but now being overridden by latinos.

tits and muscles.

Petty bureaucrats get away with this stuff because of teacher unions and the media.

The irony the kid was telling the truth.

PS If I were Titus, the last thing I would broadcast is living in the People's Republic.

“2-4-6-8, We dream up tons of racist hate”

I’m pretty confident the 90% is wrong. The correct response to the tweet would be to tweet right back that pom-pom girl needs to get her facts straight.

But the last line of the article makes it all clear “ the school is now creating a group of teachers and students to come up with a curriculum about diversity and acceptance.”

PC is a deadly dogma. Don't believe me? Ask those dead in the Paris attack about it? Want to see how deranged PC has become. Go to any number of universities in the US and tell me there is sane and rational student/faculties there following a non-PC dogma. PC has gotten people killed. It will continue to do so. From Affirmative Action to Diversity to Multiculturalism. It's a deadly dogmatic theology. It needs to become rejected and then become extinct.

You need to choose one: sensitivity or freedom of speech. You don't have to support the person's message, only their right to say it. Why have educators, as a group from university down, become so stupid in recent decades?

The phrase "I believe in freedom of speech..." is one of those things people say right before they lie, like when they say "to be honest with you..."

When a school official says that she's in favor of free speech but not "insensitive speech" I'm sure she's sincerely expressing her ignorance of what freedom of speech means. The fact that this pattern - the banning of a "controversial" assertion that offends even one person - repeats over and over again indicates the privileging of sensitivity over messy freedom. Yes, it's okay to use privileging if you use their own language against the sensitivity police.

To be honest with you I can't be honest with you but I'd like to be honest with you, isn't that worth points?

Please allow me to humble-brag and say sorry but not sorry. That about sums that up.
