If you believe, as progressives do, that human nature is not fixed, and hence is not a basis for understanding natural rights. And if you believe, as progressives do, that human beings are soft wax who receive their shape from the society that government shapes. And if you believe, as progressives do, that people receive their rights from the shaping government. And if you believe, as progressives do, that people are the sum of the social promptings they experience. Then it will seem sensible for government, including a university’s administration, to guarantee not freedom of speech but freedom from speech. From, that is, speech that might prompt its hearers to develop ideas inimical to progress, and might violate the universal entitlement to perpetual serenity.
On campuses so saturated with progressivism that they celebrate diversity in everything but thought, every day is a snow day: There are perishable snowflakes everywhere. The institutions have brought this on themselves. So, regarding the campuses’ current agonies, schadenfreude is not a guilty pleasure, it is obligatory.

We are going to end up with a couple of generations of dangerous, lost adult-babies who are going to spread out into society en masse with this babbling baby nonsense and infest everything they touch with it. Successive generations will crumb under their heels and no one will give a shit because it will become the norm. I never, ever thought I'd say anything like this in my lifetime. I cannot believe that this is actually occurring during my short stay on earth. That I/we would have to suffer the inane grievances of malformed children who have and will be given undue and unwieldy power to promote this insufferable ideology the way they have. This country needs a serious cleansing of these people and this ideology. No one has the guts to do it. Citizens who are repulsed by this need to go in front of their state legislatures and into these universities and push back and push back hard.
BLM and the Krazy Kollege Kidz are just one aspect of this. Look at what happens after islamic terrorists kill off over a hundred people. The Scoldening. The Nannying. The Concern Trolling. The unquestioned presumption that everyone in the West is going to go on a big, bloody rampage and indiscriminately start whacking Muslims. (Just like the last time when we engaged in endless war and indiscriminately whacked millions of brown people in the middle east after a few bad eggs were allowed by our government to stage a terrorist attack.)
Morons gonna moron.
The children of the corn.
Who do you think gets to govern America. The graduates of Harvard and Yale and Princeton and Dartmouth, that's who. The super connected go straight into the pipeline jobs in the bureaucracy that end with them making policy at State, at Defense, at the Treasury, at Interior, you name it. And they have been so marinated in the Progressive Religion that "guiding" the lower orders, i.e. the rest of us, is a GIVEN!
