That was all very good and moving until she started singing.

Ed, Madonna's problem isn't that she's a hypocrite wrt to ISIS -- I'm sure she hates them as much as the next -- it's that she built a career on tearing down others' family and religion and preaching a lack of respect for tradition (somebody please argue otherwise).

But note that she seems conservatively garbed in a traditional Swedish native skirt. It must just be between costume changes.

And when it comes to politics, these days I'd rather hear from Madonna's brother anyways. He's the one with the real ciccones.

As a former Michigander, rumor has it that she's a secret advisor on Gov. Snyder's plan to repopulate Detroit with Syrian and ISIS refugees.
Oops.

FWIW, I was addressing this "Give Peace A Chance" schtick Lefty entertainers pull out whenever there's an attack like this.

I've been hearing it for 50 years and it's the biggest crock there is, but we still have to listen to people whose brains are in their privates tell us how War Is Not The Answer.

The slaves in Her Majesty's Southern Colonies would, of course, agree.

Now I'm reading some of the outrage linked to Madonna's comments. I think they mistakenly assume that she was speaking unilaterally, that is, just for our side. Of course can only speak for one side, but wishes to speak for both.

The way of this wicked world is that you get crucified for loving unconditionally when the other side openly mocks their own prophet's words.

She's probably just a costume failure away from her thong and garters.

Wouldn't it be awesome to come out and do a concert without mentioning anything. That is, give the people what they went there for, the entertainment they paid for. How completely awesome that would be.

The sound on the laptop is low, I would have to strain to listen and then process to comprehend what I am hearing and the whole time I'd be telling myself, Dude, you're straining to listen to Madonnas dumbass opinion.

It would also be awesome if, after waiting for Annie Lennox in the drizzling rain at outdoor Red Rocks amphitheater, the professional entertainer would begin her set with "Here Comes the Rain Again," but no, the order of her set cannot be disturbed even when presented with such an amazingly natural opportunity.

Sorry, I've never "gotten" Madonna. I'm an old fogey. Actually, when it comes to music I was a "young fogey".

I hated all the music when I grew up in the late 70s and early 80s. I pretended to care about the current pop music only because of my girlfriends.

Secretly, I liked classical music and Jazz, plus Doris Day and Frank Sinatra. And a little 60s rock and early 70s rock, Eagles, Clearwater, Beach boys, Beatles.

Madonnna was just so much noise for me.

I think its because I've always been slightly hard of hearing. When I listen to Madonna all i hear is loud music plus an occasional word. That'd be enough if she was actually good looking, or intelligent, or had some style or class.

But 50 million Americans disagree - so my bad.

madanna has gone a long way with very little talent.
