I never metaphor I didn't like

Just something that I thought of.

One of my favorite songs of all time. On this sad day, it's good to know that music itself lives on. The king and queen both died on this day. Odd, eh?

More hope for the future of music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8EMo-_6ynI

I think Rhiannon Giddens has the purest voice on the planet. She's from over your way, Greensboro, and will be returning to perform there next month. The cello player in the video is pretty talented, too.

I was trying to cut and paste the string that creates a permalink, but of course it creates a permalink. It goes less than, letter a, href, equals sign, single quote url single quote, greater than, TEXT that will be highlighted, less than, slash, letter a, greater than, if that can be deciphered.

I think DBQ, bless her heart wherever she is, taught me that. I mention that because I am lazy and it is easier to click than to cut and paste.

And rare indeed are the times I venture as far west as Greensbar. That's a mighty fur piece.

Windbag, I thought it was interesting when Mother Teresa left under the radar and on the coattails of the only woman on the planet who could possibly have eclipsed her when it came to global focus and media interest.

It seemed like she was honored with a relatively quiet, dignified death while the circumstances surrounding Lady Diana's death absorbed most of the drama and attention. In the end, they each received the form of honor that appeared to be a fit for them.

I really liked this picture from 2017 in the Detroit Free Press today.

@Sixty Grit, as you were figuring that out, I was too, as the address from the DFreeP seemed to long to leave hanging without a link. Will see if it worked now.

I love that song too. Just heard it the other day at some random store. I stopped and listened to the whole thing.

If I had my life to live again, I'd learn to play the piano, and the guitar, but for real this time.

The permalink worked, MamaM.

And as for learning to play the piano, Bags, I spent much of my lifetime working on it and all I can say is, I would need several more lifetimes to even approach Leon's level of playing. He had some natural gifts and worked on improving them starting at a young age. Being a member of the Wrecking Crew is not a bad way to get better, either.

MamaM, what a picture. I can't describe the feelings it stirred. Thanks.
