“The greatest pleasure I know is to do a good action by stealth and have it found out by accident.” ― Charles Lamb
I borrow from the library a CD lecture series on astronomy. I've listened to it 4 maybe 5 times now over the course of a few years.Funny thing is, when I'm in the midst of listening to it, which takes maybe 2 weeks, I like looking at the night sky much more than otherwise and I'm much more at peace with the world, generally.Hey! I just thought of a joke!FIRST ASTRONOMER: How's it going?SECOND ASTRONOMER: Things are looking up.I just invented that.
The Banging StopsWhen the sky gets all streaky in the evening,I raise my glass in reliefThat another day insistent is over,That the time till bed is brief.
Fruit Bat- One more like that and we will put you in the punitentiary.
We're regulars at a Restaurant here in Venice Beach that gets the whole place to sing "Amore" every weekend night. A hundred people clinking glasses of wine all through the thing. The only time you ever catch some people singing in public... in Italian yet.
