Isn't that Grasshopper and some blind dude?

My girlfriend and I have been watching nothing but Kung Fu action movies for the past few months.

We've gone through all the Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen and Jet Li movies on Netflix, and now we're moving on to the lesser stars.

Can't really get into Bruce Lee.

Kung Fun movies are Chinese versions of westerns. Like everything else, we've outsourced our western production to the Chinks.

I hear a lot of the "wisdom" in the show came from fortune cookies and bubble gum wrappers.

That's no blind dude, it's Charlie Chan's #1 son.

As a young boy, I loved that show. It may seem silly, but it spoke to me on a philosophical level that I still see in myself today. I think it actually shaped me as person and a man. The hero of Cain who avoided conflict, and left people to their own devices even when he did not like it, despite having superior force he could use to influence. He was willing to use strength and power to do what was needed, but only if it was truly needed, and justice demanded it. He always preferred appeals to a person's morality, if they had it. The character appreciated beauty and peace and kindness, but did not shy away from violence or sacrifice when justified. A great message, I think, especially for TV show.

I loved Kung Fu. One of the best shows on TV of that period.

Just imagine if they let Bruce Lee play the lead role.
