Trump tells the Truth again....Anti-Trump fanatics scream he is whining!

Brietbart News April 16, 2016
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said that he didn’t want to waste money in Colorado and Wyoming “to essentially pay off all these people” and “I’ve understood this for a long time, I’ve never said anything, because frankly, I wasn’t involved in politics other than on the other side. I used to be establishment” on Saturday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends.”
Trump was asked [relevant exchange begins around 4:20] “It is being mirrored in Wyoming, they have 14 delegates up for grabs, and it’s republican powerhouse that are going to be picking according to some — but it is the rules, and it was that way from the beginning, and from the Cruz campaign, from their side, they’re saying, we put in the face time, we put in the ground game, we put in the effort, and — over the long haul, and that’s the way you win a presidential campaign, if Donald trump is a dealmaker and doesn’t letting anything get in his way, why didn’t he know the rules and set out the ground game the same way?”

He responded, “Because I don’t want to waste millions of dollars going out to Colorado, knowing the system is rigged. I don’t want to waste millions of dollars going out to Wyoming, many months before, to wine and dine, and to essentially pay off all these people, because a lot of it’s a payoff, you understand that. They treat them. They take them to dinner. They get them hotels. I mean, the whole thing’s a big payoff. It has nothing to do with democracy. I’ve understood this for a long time, I’ve never said anything, because frankly, I wasn’t involved in politics other than on the other side. I used to be establishment.”

That's what I thought. That's why no one else - Rubio, Christie, Fiorina, even Jeb! - was doing this.

Roe, the Anointed One's campaign manager and a big inside wheel in MO (that's why it took a month to certify The Donald the winner in MO even though he won by 1900 votes), tipped Cruz when the rules came out, when only the inside wheels knew about this, and they set this up. I knew it had to take months to get this all in place.

This was his Plan A all along.

The One True Conservative thing was for the rubes. If he could snow them, fine, but this was the only way he figured he could really win.

My God, what a creep. And hypocrite.

PS Surber shows how Trump can make it to 1400 delegates. Granted, it uses national polls, but, if that Fox poll is even close to right (Trump > The Phony by 18 or so), a lot of people have soured on him in the states to come.

Yes. He's whinging exactly what his Colorado supporters want him to say. That is their whinge, not only his. The analysis I hear keeps leaving them out. As if they don't count. The huge swaths of voters eager civic-minded anxious to learn how to participate cut out by process.

Names are supposed to appear with delegate numbers on the grid. Trump name was left out. Party maneuvering to push away outsiders, or incompetence, doesn't matter. Very large numbers of active voters were cut out of the process. And that is wrong. It is unacceptable. What were they expecting to do?

Crucially, all of those people did not go away! Discouraged, yes, and even MADDER than before. I cannot wait to encounter a real live Colorado Republican out and about so I can ask them directly what in the f is your bag? "I'm sorry, what? I'm distracted there momentarily. I'm imagining you in a powdered wig."

CRUZ CELEBRATES ANOTHER VOTERLESS VICTORY!
NO ELECTION IN WYOMING

TRUMP ROBBED OF DELEGATES IN GEORGIA AFTER WINNING STATE...

Give it another week and nobody is going to want to be seen voting for Lyin' Ted

Even though Cruz is winning the delegates in the rigged States trump is winning over the people look at latest poll numbers in NY NJ Penn and even in Cali

That's exactly it.

Everybody played it straight but Mr Holy. He was setting this up last Fall. After all, to ID, select, recruit, and place all those people took a lot of time, as did making sure the committees were stacked with his people.

Now Trump is hitting him with some political jiu-jitsu. Turning what was supposed to be a strength into a liability. He went from up by 4 to up by 18. People don't like this. Cruz is being turned into Jimmy Swaggart.

to wine and dine, and to essentially pay off all these people, because a lot of it’s a payoff, you understand that. They treat them. They take them to dinner. They get them hotels. I mean, the whole thing’s a big payoff. It has nothing to do with democracy

Cruz is going to be hearing that quote in his sleep for the rest of his life.

All Trump needs is to get that first ballot vote when those delegates are bound to him. This is why Roger Stone said all those other delegates would be challenged - they were, for all intents and purposes, bribed.

As I say, Cruz prospective numbers in the upcoming states are going to start sliding rapidly.

What will it take for Trump to run third party? He needs to make a decision now.

And Teddy's got another scam in WV.

You'd think they'd have sense enough to bail out of this now that they see how it's going down with people, but it looks like Rinse will try to brazen it out.

Another week and people are going to want his head.

Cruzify the lot of them.

He won't. A third party wouldn't win and I think now Trump is determined to win.

He'll take his people and walk and they'll stay home and the Rs will lose the Senate and maybe the House and won't get them back for a generation.

At least.

The GOP will not give him the nomination. No way. It's clear now. He will be robbed of it. He can win as an Independent. He has the People behind him.

Can you imagine what the Dems will do with all three? Single Payer, liberal SC justices who will overturn Voter ID, Second Amendment under assault and more. A liberal utopia. Time to stock up on the essentials!

No, he's got the votes for the first ballot and the Rinse crowd really hasn't got a choice. Cruz is a sure loser and they haven't got a Whig replacement. They wanted to make sure they could control the process if it got close (Jeb! down by 40 or 50), but making up your entire slate from stolen delegates was never the intent. In effect, it's out of control and, although they could theoretically call an emergency conclave and try to streamline things, it would just result in a bigger mess.

Thing is, the more this gets advertised, the more the One True Ted is painted as a crook and a hypocrite.

The Donald knows exactly what he's doing. Consider this quote, "I used to be establishment”.

He's painting himself as the only outsider and showing up Cruz as the double-dealing professional politician he is.

I wish I were as optimistic as you edutcher. I don't think he'll get it on the first ballot. I think you underestimate how much the GOP hates him. They would rather lose with Cruz. They will not allow him to be The nominee, any number of dirty tricks will be used to deny him the nomination. Mark my words. I heard some Trump voters saying if they cheat Trump out of it, they will vote for a Democratic ticket all the way down out of spite.

edutcher said...

They can only get him after the first ballot.

Delegates are bound until then.

And actually, they would not rather lose with Cruz because they'll lose the Senate and maybe the House. They can stand being the party out of power, but being the minority party means they don't make the rules that are beneficial to them.

And being the non-existent party, if Trump's people stay home, means they're frozen out of everything. Last time that happened was 1932 - 94, except for 1946 and '52, in the House and '32 - '80, except for '46 and '52, in the Senate. That's why the country looks the way it does and why so many old Rs are Whigs, they remember all that time in the wilderness and it scares them, so they go along to get along.

Keep in mind also. Ryan holds the House by only 30 seats. If 40% or so of the party stays home, a lot of the House goes home.

FWIW Reuters echoes Fox in terms of who's leading nationally and by how much.

Screwing Trump would be suicide.
