When I worked in St Paul MN downtown, we were close to the river, and every time it looked like the Mississippi would flood, the railroad would put loaded boxcars on the tracks across the river, I supposed to give them some weight for support. Mother Nature can be real mean.

Boxcars are a big sail with no mass if they're empty.
And technically it was blown off its trucks, but that's a fine point.
One hearkens back to the railroad bridge built to the Keys and how a train really was blown off during a hurricane.

The same can be said for 18-wheelers.

And don't stop and wait too close to the RR crossing when a train is passing.
