Kavanaugh posted his message on Tuesday to the fundraising page.
A conservative blogger of Brass Pills organized the fundraising campaign posted the official statement from Kavanaugh's representatives distancing the justice from the fund raising campaign.
“Justice Kavanaugh did not authorize the use of his name to raise funds in connection with the GoFundMe campaign. He was not able to do so for judicial ethics reasons. Judicial ethics rules caution judges against permitting the use of the prestige of judicial office for fund-raising purposes. Justice Kavanaugh will not accept any proceeds from the campaign, nor will he direct that any proceeds from the campaign be provided to any third party. Although he appreciates the sentiment, Justice Kavanaugh requests that you discontinue the use of his name for any fund-raising purpose.”A lot more juicy details at Yahoo, like the sweary words in a conversation that started the fund, the exact amount raised and where the funds will be redirected. Comments are interesting too, most of them don't care for the tone of the article. Readers are seeing through how things about conservatives are presented on Yahoo and they don't like it one bit. It actually isn't so bad as most.

I donated. I did so because I'm tired of watching the Democrats do these things to enrich themselves. I'll admit, in some ways; I think the whole Kavanaugh thing was a bit of both sides deciding it was a good fundraising tactic. After all; Republicans could have and should have shut down the issue the moment DiFi brought it up. There was never enough information to even start an investigation.
Thanks for the link Chip. I'm ok with the money going to the charity.
Classy and smart.
