I got a text message invite for tickets. I'm not going. I really don't like hearing any politicians speak. I did all that for the '92 GOP Convention, and I learned then that actions are more appealing to me than speeches.
There are so many venues for holding this event. I don't think the Toyota Center was the best choice. I realize that Minute Maid had to be reserved for the Astros, who will unfortunately no longer need it. But the Texans played in Jacksonville, so NRG was available. Even better would have done it in College Station. Hold it there, and you would really see a Rock Star atmosphere.
