Preston 10 years after Napoleon Dynamite

The comments on YouTube to the video in Sixty Grit's earlier post are helpful in understanding why people like this movie. They're into it. Apparently the lameness of it resonates. They know the characters and the actors, for example, the blond actor who looks like a 30-year-old student smirking at the ASL performance was said to have been quiet, shy and reserved on set.

That's good stuff right there, Chip. Thanks for the follow up. I have seen that same sort of thing take place where other movies have been filmed, specifically, Bull Durham. But now, 30 years later that town has changed so much that it is barely recognizable. Sic transit ars gratia or something.

All I knew was the movie was shot in Idaho. Thanks much, Chip. I like to visit where movies were shot. Earlier this year we visited Astoria, OR. Our kids loved Kindergarten Cop so we shot photos of the school, hotel and house in the flick for our kids.

Have you been to Bodega Bay, Nick? We used to vacation there and have been to the schoolhouse and various other scenes where Hitchcock filmed The Birds. Look out for crows, just sayin'.

Sixty, That's the one stretch of the Cali coast I've not traveled. But definitely will check it out when I do. Great flick.
