Florida convoys

Apparently this is an emotional thing in Florida. It means the catastrophic rescue phase is completed and the restoration phase has begun. I've never been in a Publix. I understand they're fantastic. People love them.

A lot of hurricanes, so they would have the drill down pretty well.

I was sitting at our kitchen table watching it with tears in my eyes. MrM hearing the siren on the video, see me and asked "What are you doing?" "I'm watching a convoy and crying".

I was physically tired from a long week, but I think it was more than that, as I saw truck after truck going past, one after the other as tangible evidence of a human chain of decisions made with the intent of helping others in need. Yes it's good publicity for Publix, but it still requires hard work and energy to follow through and be present in this way.

I saw it as the an antithesis of the antifa. The concrete opposite of the twisted sickness evidenced by other humans in power at the recent hearing. I am emotionally tired of political gaming, and seeing those trucks coming over the horizon delivering help, felt good; like something still worked in our country, with companies and people coming together to provide aid. I wondered what it would be like and feel like to be one of the truck drivers or police escort leading the way?
