I was going to post a link to The Who's "We Won't Get Fooled Again". I was looking for the one that someone here posted once (probably Chickie). Anyway I didn't find it, and fuck my stupid point anyway. But, in the process of looking, I read a lot of old stuff here from years ago. Much of it is really amazingly cool conversation between friends. It has been some great times here. I can't really express how important it was to me, how much I enjoyed it, and what a great thing it was in my life to talk to you all over the years.
Much of what I do here is selfish. I write what I'm thinking, but that forces me to think it through, to organize it, to ask myself: "does that hold up?" These people are smart and nothing like you, so think it through. So I do, and that has been invaluable.
What an amazing bunch of nuts to do that with. I have absolutely loved it. You all should go back and reread some old times here at Lem's. It's very cool stuff.
Oh, and of course, thanks to Lem, who is just about the perfect personality to run a blog. Lem, you would be my idea of the perfect journalist: fair, open minded, principled, and in touch. Thanks for all you have done here, and also to the great contributors who do so much work. I come here first, last and most during my day, for obvious reasons.
It sounds like I'm dying or something. No such luck, losers. I'll be here.
The discussions that you two, and others, have on Lem's are definitely enlightening. I don't know where else I could find writers who have your experience, knowledge and humor.
