I like Sanders. I'm no socialist and I worry he'd be a disaster with his super high tax rates and free stuff, but I respect the guy for going off scrip and not being a criminal. It's good to not be a money-grubbing government criminal.
He's got a great style. And it's wonderful to see someone work so effectively against Hillary while not sucking up to Democrats or the Republican establishment. Anderson thought he was giving Sanders a "Gotcha!" by noting that he was the only Democrat to disagree with the corporatist subsidized bank as if that meant anything other than a partisan point, and used Ted Cruz's objection to emphasize it. It didn't. It was CNN and Hillary who were being partisans. Sanders bellowed, "WELL I KNOW THIS MIGHT COME AS A SHOCK TO YOU, but Democrats are not always right!!!"
Snarky, solid, correct, unifying. Can I get a hell yeah to that?
If anything interesting or amusing gets said, it will be on the news tomorrow.. My life is fairly pointless and boring, but I have my limits and standards. My prayers go out to all those so addicted to politicking that they watch this debate.
I think he's doing it. Keep in mind that he just won three more states and has an almost even regular delegate count now to hers. It will probably only increase as these contests continue in the north and midwest.
Bernie has what used to be called integrity. He is doing a great service pointing out the flawed super delegate problem the Dems have and that the Republicans wish they had.
Also, I cannot help but notice how close Bernie and Trump seem to be on trade and national priorities.
Bonus question: What is it about communism that sucks and makes it fail every single time?
Answer: The sort of tyranny that a "strong man" like Stalin or Trump or Mussolini offer but that Bernie Sanders doesn't care for.
Listen, it appears you're doing yeoman's work here getting the crowd to understand the dangers of "strong man" nationalism. But this isn't 1980 any more. You don't have to avenge your youthfully indiscrete vote. You don't have to pretend that the poor are going to ravage your beautiful seaside mansionette if they can stop worrying about a decent living standard and replacement of the trap door at the bottom of the income scale with the same decent safety net we always used to have.
You don't have to kill the Soviet Union again. It's dead.
And I get the impression you've been pissed at and ignoring me for the last couple weeks. But a "resolution of political purity" won't get you all your priorities in this election, either. Accept agreement where it exists.

What's really fascinating is if you google, "Democratic primary results" and check out the blue visual bars with Clinton's head and Sanders' head under "Delegates won". You will see something very interesting. Sanders has probably at least 80% of the elected delegate votes that Clinton has. But google only reports the total numbers, which include the unelected "super delegate" votes - and bring Clinton's total to more than twice Bernie's.
Even google is in on this sham. But it won't stand. Whatever the Republicans come to, and it will probably be Trump, urge anyone you know who cares to or wants to register Democrat at least in the primary to do so in order to get Bernie nominated.
Bernie just blew Hillary's ass out in Maine with a 65%/35% split of the tallies. He is crushing her in states where poverty (including trade deals, etc.) matters: in the North, plains, mountains, etc. Everywhere but the south. We can hope to see this continue throughout the majority of the states left. But it is not in the bag. He needs momentum if he's going to stick it to the DINO establishment (which will also hurt the RINOs) and people need to get in on it.
I truly and profoundly wish that Catholicism had gotten to get more influence. I do wish that and I have wished that, even though I, myself, am not a Catholic.
That said, what is it that anyone is supposed to do? What am I supposed to do, in the face of, for example, Catholics who are more interested in politics than their own souls.

Pretty funny but it's hard to deny that their debates seem to at least be somewhat substantive.
Another debate where everyone, including the robots asking questions, pretends Hillary isn't a felon.
I read somewhere this on is on spanish channels.
April thanks for the tweet.. i'm stealing that.
Sander is yelling right now, "WELL YOU KNOW, DEMOCRATS ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT!"
This is in response to Andersoon Cooper pointing out that he agrees with Ted Cruz - gasp! - on not supporting the Boeing/Export-Import bank.
I clapped wildly when he said that.
Good, Lem. Tweet away.

cool.
Don Lemon: Hillary tells us how racist are you?
Ever notice how huge Bernie's hands are? Not that Hillary would know how to shake them.
#DemDebate
Watching the debate time delayed about an hour from the rest of the world. #DemDebate
I may have to play a Led Zeppelin song tonight. #GetTheLedOut
Requests?
No. They're too unserious for that, Bags.
Taking requests, Chickel?
Oh yeah oh oh oh
Only thing that Bernie won't do is go in for the kill. Dooooo. it.
All that American racism talk just plays into Donald Trump's small hands ;)

Wouldn't you just love to see Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders go at it mano a mano? Or better still, thumb wrestle?
My fear though is that Madam Secretary will, with just a wave of her tiny little hand, just select Sanders as a running mate.
My prayers go out to all those so addicted to politicking that they watch this debate.
I just turned it off when they both tried to outdo each other's white guilt trip.
Stairway would be appropriate, the buying thereof, but Dazed and Confused is better. Final answer.

You are awesome.

What is it about communism that sucks and makes it fail every single time?
That it must occur in stages and has only ever evolved to a preliminary stage/state.
"Also, I cannot help but notice how close Bernie and Trump seem to be on trade and national priorities."
What "National Priorities" are they close on? Personally, i don't think any Sanders supporter is going to vote for trump in the general.

Not to mention great warriors for souls who never had to explain why there were all those at least oblique references to ... .

Sharp folks get why smart questions matter.
I share chickelit's fear at 10:24. Hopefully Bernie will piss her off somehow and she won't want to run with him.
If he's nominated I can't see him picking her for a running mate.

Somewhat substantive is crediting to much substance to Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Freebie.
