"When Army Spec. Ivan Lopez went on the shooting rampage Wednesday at Ft. Hood, Texas, killing three soldiers and injuring 16 others, he had just learned that superiors in Washington had rejected his request to take a temporary leave to deal with family matters related to his mother’s death, a federal law enforcement official said."

He should have asked for leave to get gender reassignment before his upcoming gay Taliban wedding.
Every one of us has gotten worse news than a rejected leave, but only a couple of us have actually started shooting the place up.
The guy wasted a chance for a career @ the Post Office.
I don't think any employee paid benefits that are based on having children are fair. For example, I don't subsidize health insurance for family members. I'm understanding of the needs for time off, but paying for it is simply paying employees with children extra, and that seems unfair to me. You choose to have children, so you should fully accept the extra cost and responsibility of that, and not expect others to carry it for you. An employer can't expect work from the whole family, so they should not be paying for it. You simply use your regular vacation and sick time like anyone else.

Ryan Murphy is one of the most ridiculous players in the Major Leagues. When you talk to Met's fans they talk about him like he was fucking Rod Carew or something but he sucks. He is barely adequate as a hitter and can't field to save his life. The definition of a mediocre time serving douchenozzle. The team gained by not having him on the field.
He is the perfect Met.
