So, by random chance, I started watching Twin Peaks the other day. Actually, it was because I used to bicycle through the area where it was filmed, but I had never seen it.

Fire, walk with me.

I guess that has some significance, but who knows - David Lynch is, shall we say, quirky.

ack.
I've been watching Twin Peaks, too. I never watched it when it was popular in the 19080s. did you? Kyle Mc-whatshisname - he's really good. The story is boring. The 80's intro-music -eee grates the nerve endings.

Mostly - I cannot stay awake.

This is my first time watching it - I like the sound track - Angelo Badalamenti's music is very evocative.

I was talking to a friend about the show yesterday and she said that Lynch's weirdness became tedious to her in the second season. I may make it that far, but red suited midgets on zig zag carpet might be enough.

For all of the other issues, Lynch sure can frame a scene.

You know, I have had some weird dreams these past few days - bear with me - it is hot here, maybe even hot and humid, and last night I dreamed that the rainstorm in the weather forecast had turned into a snow storm and when I awoke from my dream within a dream there was 4 feet of snow blocking the door.

Curse you, Lynch - get out of my head!

The Twins Peaks music gets stuck in my head and it's not good.

MulHolland Drive was a fine example of Lynch's weird dreams made into a movie. That one worked.

The music reminds me of this song.

@Rene: The house used in that "Top Gun" video is in Oceanside.

Good call - music played on the lower strings of an electric guitar.

As I said, it is evocative. What it evokes is the issue.

I haven't seen Mulholland Drive. I just read a summary of the plot - yeah, maybe I will skip that one for now. One can get too much Lynch.
