"People tell me it’s a sin
To know and feel too much within
I still believe she was my twin, but I lost the ring
She was born in spring, but I was born too late
Blame it on a simple twist of fate"
Pete Seeger would have chopped their power chord! :)
It's another gorgeous song from my favorite Dylan album. I do prefers Dylan's acoustic original, accompanied only by electric bass.
Why do you think the singer changed the line "I still believe she was my twin, but I lost the ring" to "I still believe she was my twin, it just looks like I lost the ring?
Nobody should have uncovered him. Put the dirt back.
I kid, of course. I have to respect the true genius of his song writing. I'm not anti-Dylan. It's the people who love Dylan that I have a problem with.
Now that Kiss group, they have some songs. Dylan could never have written "Love Gun". He just didn't have the chops. Or how about that Paul Anka and "Having My Baby" Now that's a song. These songs transcend the human experience and carry your mind up to wide-angle camera-on-a-drone-like perspective where you can see your neighbor naked in the jacuzzi with the armadillo and the large hungry carp all swimming about in harmony and mutual respect. They lift us up above our dreary marinara-stained lives.
Chiii-ip, of course that original is better (in this case) than what I found, but it was still a good cover considering the noise level and recording quality.

I didn't notice that. But I did notice there are two different endings. I like this one much better.
It's interesting to look for a good cover of a song you like. You have to go through a lot of songs.
Any volunteers for Dylan haters week for tomorrow nite???

Let the commenters contribute. I have a few others but they're not favorites.
Okay, but I think Lem should do one. And Chip, of course. If he's not chicken BAWK BAWK BAWK.
How about this Dylan - PA style:

I don't hate it.
Wait...I'm getting something...bago wants me to find a Lay Lady Lay cover for Jacuzzi purposes. I'm on it, bags!
For bags the metallurgist, the lines must include "Lay lady lay, lay across my big copper-zinc alloy bed."
Nice sound, bago. I think my son might like that.
(will he want to change 'his clothes are dirty, but his hands are clean'? Dirty-sweaty from work is kinda hot) ~wink~
Melanie has the best Lay Lady Lay.
No one covers Bob quite like Bob covers Bob.

I just put on the original and there is no comparison. Master vs. Karaoke night.
rh, you never cease to amaze.
Got it, bags, stand by.
