"Now we have BlackBerrys, and it has changed the way diplomacy is done," Sherman, who was undersecretary of state at the time, said in the 2013 on-camera remarks. "Things appear on your BlackBerrys that would never be on an unclassified system. But you're out traveling, you're trying to negotiate something. You want to communicate with people, it's the fastest way to do it."
Clinton's use of a personal server for her official emails during her time as secretary of state is now being reviewed by the FBI.However, another Fox News report suggests how the FBI and the Justice Department may be setting the stage to make the Hillary email problem go away. See if you can pick up on what I mean.
The FBI is going straight to the source in its investigation of classified emails that crossed Hillary Clinton’s personal server, speaking with the intelligence agencies – and in some cases, the individuals – that generated the information, two intelligence sources familiar with the probe told Fox News.
Investigators are meeting with the agencies and individuals to determine the classification level in the emails. The step speaks to the diligence with which the bureau is handling the investigation, despite the former secretary of state’s claims that the matter boils down to a mere interagency dispute. The way I interpret that is FBI investigators are going to leave it up to career intelligence staff/personnel to let Hillary off the hook. Will they say they made mistakes and fall on their sword? It would not be the first time people show extraordinary willingness to cover up for the Clintons.
