"Bernie Sanders Wows Hollywood Progressives at Two L.A. Fundraisers"

"super-liberals turned out Saturday to support Sanders."
Early Saturday morning, they filled the already blazing front yard of actress Mimi Kennedy’s Van Nuys home, and — at midday — the living room of long-time activists Betty and Stanley Sheinbaum’s sprawling Brentwood Park mansion, to hear the program of a candidate they see as everything Hillary is not.

“I’m here with my wife and my friends because we believe Bernie is providing us with the opportunity to have a voice and a role in the Democratic process at a time when progressives are on the rise,” said former California state Senator Tom Hayden, who introduced Sanders at the Van Nuys event.

“Bernie has launched a very critical campaign in several states,” Hayden said. “He’s actually doing well in the early polls. He has an opportunity to change the conversation in the country. He has an opportunity to be an effective debater (against Clinton) in the primaries. He has an opportunity to attract Libertarians and Republicans, as well as Democrats and Socialists. It always was a motley crew — the progressive coalition.”

What does Hillary think about this?

Yeah - hooliewood loves them some socialism. As long as THEY aren't hit with that 90% income tax.
but I think that hillary (despite Obama's phone call to Clooney begging him to throw support her way) doesn't fire up the leftists of hollywood. They see her pocket-stuffing opportunistic corruption and wonder how to support it and not look like creepy idiots and sell-outs.

The mega corporatists of Hollywood like Hillary. Harvey Weinstein mega-corp types will throw money to "the foundation" and note a little goodie box quid pro quo when tax season comes.

Looks like Bernie got a haircut. Shit's getting real.

Rabel: Heh, spose he got it done at the local barber college? A Bill Clinton $100 trim wouldn't play too well these days. Nor would this.

And we're surprised?

This is Hollyweird, land of fruits and nuts!

Repeal the Hollywood tax cuts? HELL, NO!
Ease up on pension demands? DIE, INGRATE.
Maybe actually pay your taxes? LOL!
Siphon off Other Peoples' Money and redirect it to your less fortunate friends in quasi-government and bullshit studies while claiming it's to help the oppressed so you can feel better about your privileged existence? Yeah! Charity by Proxy rocks!

Bernie Sanders: Helps Delete Privilege Guilt.

The wealthier and more pseudo-intellectual the liberal (journalists, arts/theater, academia, government) the likelier that he or she will be interested to enthusiastic about Bernie "Fucking Free College, Man" Sanders. Plus, he has no major corporate cronies (?) to answer to so they'll have him all to themselves, just like they thought they had President Goldman Sachs on their side exclusively. Morons. Greedy, petty, provincial morons.

The most important man in Hollywood isn't the producer or the director, it's the bookkeeper. All businesses do it but in Hollywood turning a multimillion dollar profit into a tax loss by way of the legerdemain of the bookkeeper is the rule not the exception.

I like and admire Bernie Sanders in the same way and same proportion as I like and admire Ron Paul. He's loyal to his principles, speaks his mind, and doesn't have a chance of winning. I wish there was someone equally principled to challenge Hillary from the right in the Democratic primaries.

A "blue dog" Democrat? Doesn't exist in nature. That guy from Virginia may get in and play the part and he has one of two "positions" that feign rightiness but he barks on cue with the rest of the pack when it counts. Bernie Sanders may pull Hillary (further) left. Fine by me.
