This is on the drive back from MoZaic restaurant at Palmer Lake, when you avoid the highway and do the lolly gagging pussy footing fiddlefaddling meandering desultory aimless wandering in the general direction of home.
Around Larkspur, probably Perry Park where homes are like little palaces tucked into Nature's own hobby gardens like gnome decorations. Each one its own Takashi Amano underwater nature scene inspiration like this.
177 stunning photos, (click on the tiny t.v. top right) first of the restaurant then things get really interesting. In the time of year when things are stripped so you see the bones of everything, the structure of beauty. Within a month all that is replaced with green patches and swirls and pours of color, snow vegetation, and rock, this year especially colorful due to overload of water. Runoff is high. I got nice photos right up there where it's happening, snow turning to water right there at tippy top, the very last of the snow and you see all the plants that take up immediately in the new dampness and warmth and make the most of it. It shows in ridiculous ways.
Right up there at tree line where the sturdiest trees struggle for life then peter out. Some of them grow branches only on one side, the weather too harsh on the other. Tiny pine trees take root in the rock face cracks and dig into whatever sands collect there. They should be scraggly twisted pine trees the most worst off of all the trees, but not this year. The new growth on the tiny trees puffs them out like chubby little desktop K-Mart Christmas trees plunked into the rock.

It's 10 buck maybe? Download "Sufferfest 2" for the most gnarly rock formations and rock climbing you'll ever see.

Why that's Gial Ackbar, rebel fleet commander.
It is. Ackbar!
Kinda looks like Jabba's skull skeletal remains
Sufferfest 2 - the trailer: You don't really need to train to suffer, you just do it.
