"With the campaign to replace him heating up, Obama said he thinks he would be a better candidate if he were running again, because although he’s slowed down a little bit, “I know what I’m doing and I’m fearless.”
“I’ve screwed up. I’ve been in the barrel tumbling down Niagara Falls. And I emerged and I lived. And that’s always such a liberating feeling,” he said."
I think Chip is telling us that the Pres is babbling, or he put up the wrong video. Either way works,
After 6 to 7 years of being president you think Obama would know how use words more carefully.
Unless he was going for something. At a time when the people have clearly chosen a different path from that of Baltimore and Ferguson. Obama drops the incendiary word, for the first recorded time as president.
Obama is showing his displeasure with how truly peaceful Charleston is today.
I care who uses the N-word, and I will never use it. Just yesterday a neighborhood friend used it in a conversation we were having, and knowing me well, and my usual anger at racial pejoratives, he immediately apologized. When you hear such words spoken by inappropriate people, say something, and say if f'ing loud...make it clear how you feel.
If a black entertainer or other black person chooses to use that word, they own it...not me, and I'm likely to say nothing unless it is in my face personally. For the POTUS to use it in any manner shows just how little a man he is...I actually feel sorry for him. It must be hard growing up in an nearly all white family world...hard enough to make a weak man reach for some relevance. Pitiful. He is, after all, the President of the United States of America ... just what more does he need?
I tend to agree with Lem's remark above about the man's displeasure about the peace reigning in Charleston. That would be, and likely is, beyond even pity. Perhaps that little man should have listened to the alternate pastor's sermon yesterday from Emanuel AME Church in Charleston...he might have gotten a clue from that eloquent speech.
There's a huge difference between blacks learning or teaching about slave atrocities and a white guy threatening to carry them out. But of course those sorts of distinctions are entirely lost on American reactionaries.

You're quick.
That was Lem, not Chip. He's quick too.
Chip put up that video.
Obama using the word nigger, just makes him one. I didn't think a traitor who occupies the office of POTUS could stoop any lower. I was wrong.

And Herman Melville called one of his stories "The Nigger Of The Narcissus".
Wow, I'm soooo impressed.
Wasn't he quoting?
But still, any excuse to redirect the conversation back to racial unrest, right Barry?
Nobody owns words.
Not everyone exercises discretion when speaking and that is unfortunate.
But nobody owns words. It's just that simple.
Petit garçon communauté-provocateur still trying so desperately to epater les bourgeois. *pop* I do that thing with cupped hand over my mouth.
