Every coin flip goes their way!

I was wondering today. What if Trump and Sanders won the popular vote in the primaries. Win the most primaries and are the clear choice of a majority of the voters. Amassed the most delegates but not enough to get nominated under the technicalities that has superdelgates and batman delegates and who knows whatever other bullshit they can come up with. So we go to the conventions. They are denied on the first ballot. Horse trading ensues. The powerful lobbyists and money men get involved on both sides. They force through nominees.

Bush and Clinton.

There are worse scenarios possible - lots of them.

Hey, I was told that I'd have a flying car by now.

No doubt in my mind Trump goes third party and wins. I doubt there'd be a similar revolt on the Democrat side since its base of gibsmedats is low energy as well as low info.

Inside baseball politicalwise is usually boring but an interesting aspect of the South Carolina primary is that it's an open primary. Which may explain Trump's renewed attack on Jeb's big brother W. Trump repeated his statement that the W administration did not protect us because 9/11 happened on W's watch. He also repeated h is criticism of the Iran War, Both are supposedly taboo for a Republican to say. So why did he do it? Well, Rush believes he's making a pitch for the crossover Dem voters. Anyhoo, if Trump wins SC it's pretty much over for the GOPe and they know it.

Speaking of inside baseball -- do the Yanks have a single good arm? No, no they don't ha ha ha ha ha.

And don't give me their 7 through 9 men. I'm talking starters where it's pure panic.

In a conspiracy, they wouldn't give it to Bush, because the Bushes are done, but they also would elbow out Cruz in favor of Rubio or Kasich. Trump would be their third choice of the front runners, and Cruz would be assassinated if necessary. He's the only one who they fear would actually refuse to drive the gravy train.

The duopoly is getting bolder and bolder.

After what they did to Scalia who knows what they will do next.

No way Little Jebbie gets the nod. It will go to Rubio instead.

The Bushes will be back in the next generation. Sorry, Barbara, only one POTUS per generation. Them's the rules.

last I heard -- and I don't hear much -- the Yankees still had an "attrition" problem.

Worst scenario:

Kasich vs. Sanders.

Even Clinton vs. bush couldn't beat that for sheer awfulness.

The DNC was originally thinking of recruiting Eliot Spitzer or John Edwards to run against Hillary, but they were afraid that their comparative charm and youth might cause her to lose the first few primaries. Instead, they recruited Bernie Sanders for the task. They felt that an irritable, old socialist would best set off Hillary's vitality and sagacity, but subsequent events have proved them wrong, The next time she runs they should use Charley Manson as her opponent. I bet if she ran against Charley Manson, she'd get a clear majority, maybe even over 55% of the total.

I don't know about the Repubs and Bush, but I can guarantee that the DNC will push Hillary to the top spot.
