I want to see him covering the presidential race. Right now I feel like I can't cut through the fog, the whole race feels absurd. It feels like every news outlet is just repeating whatever each campaign spins, I need Jon Stewart to cut through the bullshit. I miss Jon Stewart."

Jon really bailed at a bad time for all of us. What a perfect storm this election would have been for him. Gold, Jerry.

I don't.
I miss Ted Koppel and all those "Republicans" who aren't going to vote for the extremist Republican candidate even though there wasn't a shred of evidence they ever were.
I thought Stewart's first name was Snark?

Yeah, that's not self-involved or anything. Why can't you make up your own snarky dishonest commentary, Top Reddit Commenter.
How will we know what to think about stuff without Jon's bevy of writers playing us like barking seals.
Fred Astaire didn't have the greatest voice of his generation, but the great song writers preferred his rendition of their songs over other, more talented singers. Astaire was dapper and sophisticated and enunciated the lyrics clearly. He never tried to upstage the beauty of the melody with the beauty of his voice..........Every year Harvard and the other Ivies graduate another cohort of smart ass kids who want to make fun of their parents. There are other more talented comedians, but Stewart projected the snark in a humane way or, at least, in a way that his audience could interpret as humane. I'm sure his writers felt that their jokes were more incisive and wise when told by Stewart. I wasn't in on the joke, but others were. It was his lack of talent that made his career. He could fake being Everyman.
young progressives turn on that show to learn what to think.
oops - Baqs beat me to it. *arf!
