Drudge leads with "The Nominee" a
link to Politico reporting Trump taking Nevada by a large margin. Anger with Washington chief among reasons given much stronger than the previous caucuses and much stronger than expected. A win that widens the gap further between Trump candidates associated with establishment.

There's an inventor/CEO we know of and a blonde professor somewhere who are still convinced that this is all just a fluke and that somehow Trump can still be "stopped".
Clearly this is not the year for all the people who profited all these years off of stifling the voices of the people.
Maybe next year.
Wear your ruby slippers, tap them together three times, and say, "There's no one like the establishment! There's no one like the establishment!"
If we wish it, it can happen. That's what America's all about. The right to ignore reality.
WaPo's concluding that Cruz can no longer evade accusations of what a liar he is.
Prez nominees are allowed an awful lot of rhetorical leeway about what they think they might get done.
Outright lies about the other candidates however, and lies about who's still in the race or intimidation over "not voting", are simply intolerable.
Cruz violated the first rule of politics. His lies weren't even believable. People tolerate those who at least seem to believe their own BS. Cruz told whoppers that led people to question whether he even believed what he was doing was honest.
But someone will defend it. That's desperation, for you. And the elites sure are getting desperate.
Poor them.
He's on a roll.
Better than the Mambo Kings combined.
And Cruz just can't get it out of third. If he can't get a win out of Super Tuesday, he's done.
R&B, are you ever right about anything, ever? I've said all along that Trump could and was likely to win.
People who win the lottery swear it's a great strategy for success. It's pretty hard to argue with them.
Very few people are arguing lately that Trump can't win, but rather that he shouldn't.
Trump is the Rap music of politics, and popular for the same reasons.
Exactly -
Cruz and Rubio need to make a deal. One gets out. I doubt it will work, but, with both in, neither of them have a chance in heck.
Song for the occasion

There are probably people arguing that he mustn't as well. It's their "modal operandi."
Great clear voice on that pretty lady. I'll vote for Trump for a voice that clear and smooth.
Wait, I just heard that he promised us all a great singing voice, and in any language we want. How could I vote for anyone else now? I'm off to classes at Trump University.

Door number one? door number two? door number three?
Monte Hall statistics predict the latter.
Since, the Trump support is very similar to the Obama phenomenon, it's gonna really be something to see what we hear when Trump disappoints, and does what I think he will and pushes the same policies as Democrats have. Will the press roll over as they have with Obama, or will they fight him just because he's Trump, even as he pushes their agenda? Will our "conservative" friends roll over and start loving what they always hated just because he's their "douche bag". Who is gonna hold his feet to the fire, especially when he can just shut you up with an insult, which we have now trained him to resort to in all conflicts.
One of those doors has a donkey behind it. **sad trombone**
Trump University. I wonder what Hillary and her Media are going to do to Trump. so much. So much. So much stuff.
Perhaps it won't matter this time. Trump does seem to have a "FU" to all of that quality.
All it took to bring Romney down was a 47% comment (which is true) and "binders full of wiminz".. that's it.
The writers are capturing his tone perfectly. Credit where it is due, their ridicule is spot on.
Someone writing about Trump bragging about winning, The women voted for me, Latinos voted for me blacks voted for me, evangelicals voted for me, the highly educated voted for me the poorly educated voted for me, I love the poorly educated.
Wow. Just wow.
I wonder how many Trump supporters are motivated by his televised ruthless "you're fired."
Does that even mean anything to anybody beyond entertainment? Do people actually think he will apply that same ruthlessness to government to anything around him that pisses him off? And since all things around him will be government then it will be government things pissing him off personally and causing him to blurt "you're fired. Your whole department is fired. Pack up." Do you think that his supporters think that?
It's all that I know of his televised personality.
So, if he wins the nomination, who will he choose as running mate?
Cruz and Rubio need to make a deal. One gets out.
If Cruz is out, then expect Trump to do even better. Cruz voters by and large will not gravitate to Rubio for the very same reasons that Trump voters are Trump voters. Illegal immigration.
People who discountTrump's electability in the general election are not considering that there are many middle of the road democrats who also are feeling disconnected and disserved by their own party. Working class, blue collar, carhart wearing dems have been kicked to the curb by the Progressives and uber Liberals. Liberals who care more about dividing factions against each other so that they can keep in power and feed at the public trough. Liberals, progressives whose policies have been a death knell for those working class people who see their dreams and the dreams of their children being trampled on and tossed aside are not going to vote for Hillary the criminal or Sanders the socialist.
Discounting the Latino vote is also short sighted. As if all Latinos are the same voting block. Many many are opposed to the rampant out of control illegal immigration. They and their families went to the work to become American citizens. Do you not think that they also see the criminals and rif raff (yep I said it) streaming across the border? Don't you know that those illegals are harming the economic abilities of the citizen Latinos, harming their own communities with their criminal activities, and more importantly harming the reputations of the law abiding and very hard working Latino citizens. They don't want these people and this chaos either.
Deny reality all you want. It doesn't change it.
Looks like Bernie is now my last hope.
At least under President Sanders all you Trump voters will finally get the free mental health care you so desperately need.
Agree with DBQ and just note that Cruz is predicted to win Texas. In nothing coming up soon is Rubio expected to do any better than 2nd and the 2nd place is in Massachusetts. The idea that Rubio is better placed is an assumption that Bush and Kasich voters will go to Rubio and not Cruz. I agree, but back to DBQ, Cruz and Carson voters are likely to go to Trump. There is no path to victory for Rubio short of the super delegate strategy playing out on the Democrat side.
"Deny reality all you want. It doesn't change it"
Trump supporters need to think about that. There is a period in the future known as post election, where you are stuck with the winner. That's reality. The election season is pure punditry, promises, pander, and prediction with no relation to reality.
I don't doubt Trump's electability for a second. The Democrats have never had a weaker candidate in my life, including Mondale and Dukakis. It's a pick any prize you want situation, and were rummaging around on the bottom shelf.
DBQ:
"Do you not think that they also see the criminals and rif raff (yep I said it) streaming across the border?"
Exactly. The criminal element along the border, and the general kidnap-for-ransom (and getting it) in Mexico City, is terrifying to the law-abiding, even if illegal, Mexican American. I can see Trump gaining their confidence very easily.
Nothing is free in this world, Meade.
Here's the latest ad from the Cruz campaign.
"Nothing is free in this world, Meade."
Exactly backwards, Allen. The truth is: everything in this world is free. Understand that simple truth and you will be able to understand how someone like Donald Trump can be as rich as he is.
I just filled the Jeep up with gas. I had to pay for it. Then went to the grocery store. Same result. You probably can't grasp that situation because you don't have a car.
Quit acting like a fool.
"I just filled the Jeep up with gas. I had to pay for it."
How did you pay for it? Credit, debit, or cash?
And the subsidized road you drove your jeep on? How did you pay for that?
What groceries did you buy? Doesn't matter. All subsidized.
And how did you feel as you glided down the subsidized road in your subsidized jeep to the subsidized store and back? Free — right?
I used a debit card. They take the money right out of my checking account. If you worked, you could have a checking account.
Every time I buy gas, I pay federal and state taxes per gallon for the roads.
You're full of shit, Meade. You don't have the slightest idea how the world works.
Logically, if anybody should drop out, it's Cruz. He certainly seems to be going nowhere.
The latest poll from TX shows him only 1 up over Trump (I know...). If he can't win his home state (or only wins it in a squeaker), his appeal seems to be a lot less than advertised.
At least the Whigs are coalescing around Rubio, as it seemed before (and after) NH.
FWIW, I saw some article (can't remember where) that described Cruz' election to the Senate as a fluke. Maybe that's accurate. Maybe he's just a lousy candidate.
YMMV, but he's consistently coming in behind Rubio (or Kasich) and neither of those should be happening.
Truth in advertising: Yes, I have plenty of reservations about Trump, but he fights and he wins (without the dirty tricks). Tough to get past that.
"Nothing is free in this world" is the lie sold to slaves who have bought it from their slaveholders for thousands of years. You want a President Trump? Prepare to see that lie unravel all the way down to the tires on your jeep.
IIRC, the slaves ended up that way as captives in war, not because they were conned into the idea it was a great way to live.
Depends on which slaves you're trying to RC.
So, if he wins the nomination, who will he choose as running mate?
Choosing Carson and promising he'll put him in charge of cleaning up the VA would seal the deal.
"Choosing Carson and promising he'll put him in charge of cleaning up the VA would seal the deal."
Seal the deal with who?
For education to be free, academics must not be paid. They get tenure, so what do they need money for anyway?
It is amusing to see the Hillary lovers fail away like crabs in a bucket. They know that Trump is going to clean her clock. And if you think a Communist can win then you are in dream world. I know I know we already had a Communist elected but that was because of affirmative action. I mean he was just the imaginary black boyfriend of all of those unmarried cat lovers.
The irrational fear of Trump is the fear of the elitists and pundits and the consultants and the media at a figure that has his own sources of power. He is not beholden to the big money guys. He told the media moguls to go piss up a rope. He can rally the people behind his programs of Pro-American laws. It is Jacksonian in scope and revolutionary in effect. And he will get a lot of support in unexpected places.
You know why he got so many Hispanic votes in Nevada. It is because once you are on the boat you want to pull the ladder up behind you. That is just human nature. So he gets the votes of the wetbacks who have dried off and become citizens already. He can appeal to the blacks and get a lot of votes by pitting them against the illegal Mexican immigrants that are stealing their jobs. It is not pretty but it is effective. And in the end blacks are actually Americans where these illegals are not.
We don’t the world a living. Everybody in the world is not entitled to come to America and get all the benefits and rights of American citizens. We don’t have to be the world’s policemen and engage in endless wars. Worried about Israel? Give them a free reign to kick the shit out of Iran. They can take care of themselves as long as we don’t get in their way. Worried about Syria? Who gives a shit? Let the Russians lose their blood and treasure. Cheer them on from the sidelines and let them kill as many ragheads as they want. Worried about oil? Open up fracking and create jobs in America for the people you Trump haters despise so much. You know the uneducated working man. The ones you make fun of for seeing Trump as their only alternative to the oily Rubio and the Walking Dead Lurch that is Cruz.
That is why Trump will be our next President. Plain and simple. AllenS is telling you the unvarnished truth. There are many millions of unexpected votes for Trump. He won’t get the establishment of both parties. Or the media pundits. Or the liberal academics and their sucker fish. But he will get plenty of other votes. More than enough to win.
I mean why should you believe your lying eyes.

That's what has hit me the last couple of weeks.
The reaction to Trump is very much like the reaction of the Virginia Aristocracy and the Adams boys, cheese wheel and all.
You know why he got so many Hispanic votes in Nevada. It is because once you are on the boat you want to pull the ladder up behind you. That is just human nature
Spoken like a man from one of the great Melting Pots.
I've heard stories of how the Irish who came over in the 40s (as did mine) looked down their noses at the ones who came over in the days before the Civil War.
Also, the idea of "Hispanic" or "Latino" as some great monolithic entity is so much propaganda. They may all speak Spanish, but it's a lot more different the the English spoken by the Limeys, Canucks, Diggers, and Yanks.
That's the thing ed. You have to discount the idiocy peddled by people who have never met any illegals except maybe for their gardeners. And you know that gardeners don't know jack shit about anything. Just sayn'
The Latino or Hispanic or Beaner or whatever you want to call it is all over the map. It is not as monolithic as the black votes. Most other Hispanics hate the Cubans because they feel they got a lot of advantages and perks that they didn't get. And don't get me started on how the Dominican's hate the Puerto Ricans.
Why do you think Lem is a Red Sox fan? He hated the Yankees because Jorge Posada was a Puerto Rican.
Very few people are arguing lately that Trump can't win, but rather that he shouldn't.
There's a great way to argue this. By answering the question, "Why?"
You can't just say he's a schlub, he's loud, he was a bad businessman.
You have to say why his ideas are bad for America.
You have to convince Americans that you understand what they need before you can tell them whose ideas are bad for them and why.
How do you feel about your fellow Americans? Do you like them enough to sympathize with how their country's leaders are screwing them over?
Because it seems like Trump does.
You have to convince Americans that you understand what they need before you can tell them whose ideas are bad for them and why.
There is is, R and B. The classic management technique of "I noticed that you _________ (are off your game, were late this morning, lost a major account, aren't getting along with the office manager, pissed off co-worker)" followed by a "Can you help me understand what happened?" At which point the floodgates open and working the problem becomes a possibility, often with the help, consent and engaged interest of the one being asked.
I must confess that I have no idea what you're trying to say with that.
No worries, MamaM. That R&B's stock answer to me as well.
I can say it another way. Active listening is a communication technique used in management and conflict resolution. Needs must be understood before convincing can result in the offering of input or implementation of change. For someone with a reputation for talking a lot, Trump appears to be practised in active listening.
How does one go about convincing Americans that they are understood? By listening and keying in on the issues coming to light. Once they know they've been heard, working through those issues to find resolution is the next step.
I understood both of your explanations, MamaM.
